Dodge Announces Seventh “Last Call” Model to Appear During 2023 Las Vegas Motor Speedway
Whew, Dodge is really serious. Dodge eMuscle is a thing, the last all-gasoline-powered Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger die with the current generation – third gen for the Challenger, and the seventh gen for the Dodge Charger. In 2022, Dodge announced the 2023 Dodge Hornet PHEV, the first official model of the eMuscle lineup, and then going fully electric with the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT BEV Concept. Dodge announced the “Last Call” special edition-limited run of Dodge Challenger and Charger models. One was released every week, then a small pause before the final seventh Last Call Dodge model would make its reveal during the 2022 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Well, that, didn’t happen. Now, the eMuscle automaker claims it will launch the seventh and final Dodge 2023 “Last Call” commemorative edition model during the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, currently dated for March 20, 2023.

The last of its kind, we don’t yet know if the last “Last Call” Dodge model will be a Dodge Challenger or a Dodge Charger. We just know it’s all coming to an end. We saw the first “Last Call” model, 500 Dodge Challenger Shakedown R/T Scat Pack units and 500 Challenger Shakedown R/T Scat Pack Widebody units, followed the 2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee, then the third and fourth “Last Call” as the 2023 Dodge Challenger and Charger Scat Pack Swingers duet, with the 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona as the fifth “Last Call” model, and the 2023 Dodge Challenger Black Ghost as the sixth. With three special edition models for each nameplate, the order changed in the last two rounds from Challenger, Charger to Charger, Challenger. We’re back to the waiting game for the last and final HEMI®-engine-powered form of the muscle car by the end of 2023.
Sharing the spotlight during the Dodge “Last Call” event in Las Vegas, the automaker will also be giving us another look at the brand’s future vision of electrified muscle, the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept. During the 2022 SEMA Show, Dodge returned with the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT BEV Concept in Stryker Red and multiple powertrain options. Ranging from a starting 340 kW powertrain, able to generate 455 horsepower to an 800-volt SRT Banshee powertrain package, Dodge Direct Connection will also come in to empower Dodge eMuscle consumers with Stage 1 and Stage 2 performance, also known “eStage 1” and “eStage 2”. At the initial power level of 340 kW, eStage 1 can dial that number up to 370 kw, or 495 horsepower; eStage 2 can increase this power to 400 kW, or 535 horsepower. Want more? The second power level of 440 kw (not the Banshee third option), eStage 1 can rev this up to 470 kw, or 630 horsepower; and the eStage 2 can generate 500 kW, or 670 horsepower. It’s all thanks to a new “crystal” key.
