Dodge Releases Fourth “Last Call” Ad – HEMI Vice
We’ve been following the Dodge “Last Call” models since the muscle car automaker first released the news that the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger are coming to an end (in their current gasoline-powered form). We’ve seen the first Dodge Charger Daytona SRT BEV concept (battery-electric vehicle), but Dodge doesn’t seem too confident in it just yet, putting most of its attention on the first non-official Fratzog model, the 2023 Dodge Hornet PHEV. Especially with that new marketing campaign “Swarming the Nation”. After the last and final seventh “Last Call” model went missing, Dodge decided to start sharing cryptic ads to clue us in on what we’ll be seeing, but these ads are hit-or-miss, for the most part.
So, let’s talk about what we know based on the power of this bad boy. Dodge has said in the past that it doesn’t want to step on any toes and take the spotlight off of other powerful models, like the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye*, Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock, or the massive Mopar Hellphant engine kit. This recent ad also tells us that Dodge may be fibbing and wants to rival the very same Dodge Challenger SRT Demon after that model lasted only a year. We wouldn’t put it past the automaker. The first ad was very reminiscent of a demon or goblin before we realized it was a leprechaun, in the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day, of course!

Now we have the fifth teaser, or fourth depending on whether or not you count the announcement teaser, but regardless, like in classic Dodge fashion, the last ad tells us next to nothing. It shows the beefy leprechaun with a jackhammer drilling away at orbs of gold – that’s probably how they get all those gold coins – and the machine seems to be powered by a HEMI engine, generating 2538 PSI. No one on the internet seems to know what this means either. The best guess is that the new HEMI Hellcat High-Output engine with a HELLEPHANT 3.0-liter IHI supercharger will be making up the powertrain of the seventh, final “Last Call” Dodge model.
Looking at the current power specs we know, it could be possible. Based on the last few ads, here’s what we know so far.
- Top Speed – 131 mph
- Quarter-mile time – 8.9996 seconds
- An airflow rate – 1582 cubic feet per minute (CFM)
- 7.1 pounds of additional…something
Now with this new 2538 PSI in the mix, it messes up the last two. It was speculated that the additional 7.1 pounds could relate to the torque, usually measured in pound-foot fashion (lb-ft), or even the air pressure seeing as how the ad was called “Density Matters”, and the best way to get a lot of horsepower is injecting a lot more cold, dense air into the combustion chamber. If that’s not the case with this new “HEMI® Vice” ad, then we have to wait until Monday, 20, 2023 for the big reveal of the final “Last Call” Dodge model during the Dodge Last Call Powered by Roadkill Nights Vegas event at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
