Stellantis Introduces MyTasks Industry Tool for Commercial Fleet Managers
Earlier this month, Ram Truck announced its Ram Professional Commercial Fleet Division. A subsidiary of the company with a focus on providing services to commercial fleet managers, it would seem that the idea was not alone. A few weeks later, and Stellantis announced MyTasks, an industry-first tool for fleet managers that can make communication easier with drivers, and it just won’t apply to truck drivers. We’re talking delivery drivers, ride hailing mobility providers, and maybe even public transportation. Anything is possible.

One would think Ram Truck was discussing its plans with the CEO of Stellantis, given how well MyTasks builds off of Ram Professional services. A full-service company, Ram Professional takes a 360-degree approach to provide a suite of professional services to their consumers through Ram Professional connected services to make management of vehicle fleets and provide support with real-time data. Not much information about the services being provided has been reported on as of yet, but Ram Professional is set to launch this year (2024). Ram Trucks is known for upfits, known as modules that can make customizing the interior of trucks and vans for specific purposes super easy. Ram Professional will also be providing access to its growing lineup of green models, as well as their tough gasoline models, including the new Ram ProMaster EV, Ram 1500 REV, Ram 1500 Ramcharger, Ram Heavy Duty trucks, and Ram Chassis Cab models
Stellantis definitely has plans for MyTasks. Able to communicate with drivers, delegate tasks, and send/receive status updates, fleet managers can send information to drivers in the field via the vehicle’s built-in infotainment system. It’s as simple as logging into an online portal. Once a request, communication, or task is assigned to a driver, a pop-up message will appear in the vehicle’s infotainment screen. Designing a connected system, will also make sending assigned destinations to the vehicle’s navigation system much easier for creating new routes. Drivers can also provide dispatchers the status of each task completed, in real-time, to keep everyone informed.
MyTasks is expected to become even more refined with upcoming Stellantis STLA platforms, software such as the STLA Brain, and intuitive cockpits such as STLA SmartCockpit, and autonomous driving with STLA AutoDrive. Free2move will also be getting in on the action, building its already existing business solutions for commercial businesses, such as Preventive Maintenance and Connect Fleet. There’s also Stellantis Pro One, the Stellantis Commercial Vehicles Business Unit that will also offer MyTasks soon enough. First heading to Europe in 2024, MyTasks will eventually expand to large vans, compatible passenger cars, and commercial vehicles in North America.
