Free2move, a brand of the automobile group Stellantis, is known as a Global Mobility Hub that offers consumers a range of services to satisfy the multiple and various travel needs that may arise. The cornerstone of this is the ability to rent a car for days, months, or longer due to a car-sharing service Free2move offers. Mobility is an important part of daily life, and as the world becomes more digital, automakers are looking into ways to turn automobiles into a digital living space that blends their internet life with mobility. To maximize the consumer experience, Free2move recently announced the group’s plans to share their 2030 vision of mobility during the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show.

During the 2022 CES, Chrysler introduced its Airflow Concept, a self-driving vehicle that makes use of Level 3 autonomy. Not completely autonomous, but enough to give consumers a little more freedom when behind the wheel. Built on three major platforms – STLA Brain, STLA SmartCockpit, and STLA AutoDrive – the Airflow Concept is the first to make use of new systems being developed between Stellantis and Amazon. As mentioned above, turning an automobile into a “living space” is slowly becoming the new goal, and the STLA SmartCockpit platform can make that happen with its intelligent, adaptive, user-interface that can adapt to customers’ behaviors and interests, as well employ Level 2, Level 2+ and Level 3 autonomous driving capabilities with STLA AutoDrive.

It all has to do with the Stellantis Dare Forward 2030 business strategy, with a focus on electric vehicles (EVs) and car technology. In an effort to offer innovative, clean, safe, and affordable mobility to all. Part of the company brand lineup, Free2move is pushing mobility services even more to meet with the growing shared vehicle market, one of the hottest in the automobile industry. If anyone has ever used ZipCar or a similar rental service, they know how great it is to not need to own a car just to be able to drive a car when required. Internationally recognized as a premium provider of mobility services for both individual and business consumers, Free2move has grown to provide six million consumers with mobility on a global scale, becoming one of the largest players in the VaaS (vehicle as a service) space.

When you’ve got that kind of power, changing the mobility marketplace is possible. Already offering B2B and B2C consumers vehicle access that can be charged by the minute, day, or month, drivers can book a car and even a parking space with an easy-to-use app. Not just for the individual consumer, Free2move is also a leader in fleet management and services to help businesses with fleet management, exploitation of data, and the complete mobility solution of the Free2move marketplace. There hasn’t been any tease or sneak peek at the 2030 vision of mobility Free2move plans to unveil at the 2023 CES, but Brigitte Courtehoux, CEO Free2move, will be onsite at the Free2move section in the Stellantis pavilion, to discuss their vision of the future of mobility and how Free2move will be supporting automaker Stellantis’ transition to EVs for the rest of the decade.
