Aventura CJDR 2018 Easter Jeep Safari Accessories

At last yearā€™s Moab Easter Jeep Safari, Jeep and Mopar introduced some pretty neat Jeep concept models. Weā€™re not sure if these concepts are made to show potential and possibilities and then waits for crowd feedback before going into production, or if the numbers are incredibly limited and thatā€™s why we donā€™t see any of them added to the lineup. Well, for 2018, we covered the Easter Jeep Safari again, and like last year, thereā€™s some new Jeep Safari concepts and undoubtedly plenty of new off-road accessories. Before these new accessories steal the spotlight, with the 2018 JeepĀ® Wrangler JL in tow, check out some of the off-road items that popped up this year, specifically made for the JL model.

Jeep Wrangler JL Off-Road Accessories

First up is the Spacy JL, a ReadyLIFT available on the all-new 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon, Sport, and Sahara. The Spacy JL adds up to 2.5 inches of lift to the Wrangler, Ā which already comes with a 10.9-inch ground clearance, so models with the Spacy JL have more than 12 inches of ground clearance, or the space between the underbody and the ground. This almost puts the Jeep Grand Cherokee to shame since itā€™s designed with a standard 10.8 inches of ground clearance, and was originally the Jeep model with the best ground clearance.

The lift kit is designed to deliver not only a taller stance, but it also makes it possible for larger wheels and tires, all while maintaining the factory ride comfort. It provides 2.5 inches of lift in the front and 2.0 inches of lift in the rear, offering room for 37-inch tires on the Rubicon models and up to 35-inch tires on Sport and Sahara models. To keep the factory manufactured bits in place, each kit features four laser-cut plate steel coil spring spacers with integrated spring isolation keeper plates to keep retention of the factory coil springs.

Another lift kit, the Three-Way JL Lift from Skyjacer, comes with three separate lift systems for the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL. Made for increasing off-road performance, the Skyjacker Three-Way JL Lift introduces a 1-to-1.5-inch, 2-to-2.5-inch, and 3.5-to-4-inch lift system. Each kit features dual-rate long-travel coil springs designed specifically for the JL for on- and off-road use.

Standard with Skyjacker lift suspension systems are extended sway bar endlinks and bump stop extensions, and long-travel front and rear shocks length-fitted to offer the maximum extension allowable for full articulation of the Jeepā€™s body. The 3.5-4-inch lift system also includes an adjustable front track bar, eccentric cam bolts, and a rear upper frame-mounted track bar relocation bracket. Each lift system is available with either M95 monotube or Black Max long-travel shocks.

The last JL-only accessory is a full exhaust for the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL by MagnaFlow. Available in six different configurations, the exhaust can be ordered from the MF Series in a polished or black finish and available as an axle-back or after-cat system, the Off-Road Pro Series system, or the Rock Crawler Series system, designed to give owners more clearance for extreme off-road use. All MagnaFlow exhaust systems come with a lifetime warranty and each kit includes all the necessary hardware and components for a complete bolt-on installation.

Other Jeep Accessories

Of course, there were accessories at the 2018 Moab Easter Jeep Safari that can also add a little luxury to a Jeep model. Announced for ā€™07-ā€™18 Jeep JK Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited models are new Elite Ballistic Heated Seat Covers from Rugged Ridge. Made of a resilient 1,200-denier polyester material with a ballistic weave, and designed with dual-zone heating elements located in the seat bottom and backrest to provide warmth. Each Elite Ballistic Heated Seat Cover can be installed easily via a two-wire installation, and is made possible by the three-position control switches built into the seat covers, and fit securely over the factory seat.

Awhile back we discussed what to do if you ever get your Jeep stuck. An accessory that would come in handy when youā€™re stuck and all else fails is the ability to communicate, and Jeepers will never give up handy-dandy walkie-talkies. This year, Midland introduces the MXT275 Micromobile two-way radio, a full 15-watt two-way GMRS radio that features an integrated handheld microphone and can broadcast over 15 GMRS channels and eight high-powered repeater channels. Compatible with all Midland GMRS handheld walkie-talkies, and delivered with a mounting bracket, a 12V power cord with car adapter, detachable antenna, magnetic antenna mount, microphone holder, this accessory will sure come in-handy if you find your Jeep underwater or upside down.
