Ram Announces New 2023 Ram 1500 TRX Havoc Edition

As the Ram Truck brand moves ever closer to its Ram 1500 Revolution, the first battery-electric vehicle from the automaker, pickup trucks powered by gas are still yet to reach the finish line. We have a lot to look forward to next year. Alongside lots of great Marvel movies coming up, Ram will also be unveiling its Ram 1500 Revolution at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show, and we should get a better look at the offerings of Dodge eMuscle and all-electric Jeep SUVs. Before all of Stellantis goes fully electric, many automakers will hold on to what they can. Ram didn’t produce the 1500 TRX just to watch it die out in a couple years, and to keep things fresh, the automaker announced an exclusive new 2023 Ram 1500 TRX Havoc edition joining the lineup.
“The Ram 1500 TRX Havoc Edition offers another unique way for our passionate customers to separate themselves from the crowd with the segment’s best combination of performance, capability and technology…We’re always exploring new ideas and looking for ways to offer new content as we continue win over more and more buyers.” – Mike Koval Jr., Ram brand CEO – Stellantis
At first glance, it seems like the TRX Havoc edition is just the Ram 1500 TRX with a new paint job, a unique Baja Yellow exterior color for a little more personalization with graphics and a unique exterior appearance. Looking a little closer, and the combination of technology and performance also seems to get an upgrade. Ram is known for having packages and group features that consumers can add on, and the TRX Havoc edition comes standard with the TRX Level 2 Equipment Group.
In addition to the Baja Yellow paint job, the Havoc edition comes with its own graphics, 18-inch all black bead lock capable wheels, a dual pane panoramic sunroof, spray-in bedliner, cargo tie-downs, a bed step, and an LED cab-mounted brake light to change the look of the light duty pickup truck. Taking a peek inside, and Prowler Yellow accent stitching matches nicely with the Baja Yellow paint, a “TRX” logo has been embroidered into the seatbacks, and the center console and dashboard come with carbon fiber accents, a leather and carbon fiber flat–bottom steering wheel, center console badge, ac Head-up Display, and TRX in Baja Yellow on the driver’s screen. The same powertrain powering the Ram TRX is under the hood, a 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 capable of generating 702 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque, and able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds; run a quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds. Equipped with a new BorgWarner 48-13 full-time active transfer case with a low range of 2.64:1, and a large ground clearance of 11.8 inches, the TRX is also perfect for going off road, rock crawling, and flat-towing.
Starting at an MSRP of $104,550 (plus destination fee), the new 2023 Ram 1500 TRX Havoc edition may be a little more than the base 2023 Ram TRX, starting at $84,555 (plus destination fee), but that equipment group sure does add a lot for the money. Just remember when ordering that the 2023 Ram TRX is only available with a Crew Cab and a 5’7” truck bed. The TRX Havoc Edition goes on sale early 2023, and the model will have a limited quantity (number undisclosed).
