Jeep Announces Wrangler 392 Rubicon Final Edition
Stellantis may be determined to go electric with its Dare Forward 2030 business strategy, but it doesn’t seem like many of its automakers are ready to let go. Dodge announced “Last Call” special edition models in 2022, ending with the return of the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon (170). The claim was these would be the last gasoline-powered Dodge Challenger and Charger models to be released, but then they went ahead and released a new generation Dodge Charger powered by a 3.0-liter Twin Turbo Hurricane engine. Ram had a send-off for the Ram 1500 TRX with a Final Edition in 2023, but brings it back for the 2024 model year. Jeep may follow the same pattern with its Jeep Wrangler 392 Rubicon Final Edition and a staggering starting price.
The starting MSRP for the Jeep Wrangler 392 Rubicon Final Edition is set at $99,995 (plus destination fee). This mighty Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 still brings with it all the original is known for. That includes the 6.4-liter V8 engine under the hood, able to deliver 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Able to boast an acceleration time of 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds and able to complete a quarter mile run in 13.0 seconds, the Wrangler of course has off-road skills, such as a 48:1 crawl ratio for adventure on the unbeaten path. Starting with the looks, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler 392 Rubicon Final Edition comes with a unique Final Edition hood and front fender vent decals and bronze 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels wrapped in 35-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires. Some of these can already be found in the standard Xtreme 35 Package, so what else is there to set it apart from any old Wrangler 392 Rubicon trim? Straight from the factory, the Wrangler 392 Rubicon Final Edition also includes an 8,000-pound-capacity Warn winch, a Mopar triple loop grille guard, Mopar heavy-duty rock sliders, and a half-inch suspension lift that adds 0.5 inches to water fording (34.5 inches) and 0.5-inches to ground clearance (11.6 inches). There’s also a new iconic seven-slot grille for the sendoff.
Inside, Jeep isn’t pulling its punches, adding Black Nappa leather upholstery to 12-way power performance seats, new Mayan gold stitching and Tupelo highlights throughout the cabin, and a 12.3-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system. To denote this as the final Wrangler 392 Rubicon, there’s also a special shifter medallion and swing gate plaque, plus a Mopar fold-out swing gate table and Mopar Jeep 83-piece toolkit. It’s all a testament to the Wrangler’s 80-plus-year history of being the ultimate off-road vehicle, if you can manage the MSRP of the high-tier trims. Everyone knows the automaker has been notorious for producing bare-bone models and saving the goods for mid- and high-tier trims levels, so it’s no surprise the Jeep® Wrangler 392 special, limited-production Final Edition comes with so much for nearly $100k.
