As more automakers make the commitment to an all-electric lineup, or at least electrified models, more and more are giving older models a proper send-off. If the “Last Call” for Dodge wasn’t enough, off-road automaker Jeep followed with its last EcoDiesel model, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon FarOut edition, and Ram announced the  last 2023 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel. Joining the list is none other than a very special Ram truck. Ending its all-time apex predator of pickup trucks, the 1500 TRX, say hello to the 2024 Ram 1500 TRX 6.2L Supercharged V8 – Final Edition.

“The introduction of the Ram 1500 TRX ushered in a significant shift in off-road performance trucks with a halo effect that will last for years to come…This current chapter in Ram’s high-performance trucks is coming to a close, but it’s not the end of TRX’s story. While we’ll have more news to come at a later date, we’re proud to offer our loyal performance enthusiasts the very special TRX 6.2L Supercharged V8 – Final Edition.” – Tim Kuniskis, Ram brand CEO – Stellantis

The most powerful factory made pickup truck in the world, the Ram TRX ends production in 2023. Powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI® V8 engine able to deliver 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, the Ram TRX can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds and finish a quarter mile in 12.9 seconds at 108 mph. Able to boast a top speed of 118 mph, this isn’t your grandfather’s pickup truck. The Ram 1500 TRX hasn’t been around for long, first debuted in 2020, but as more automakers make the shift, gasoline guzzlers like this have to say “goodbye”.

Still packed with the same engine under the hood, the 2024 Ram 1500 TRX 6.2L Supercharged V8 – Final Edition gets some changed to set it apart from the rest original model. Featuring highly exclusive content, the combination of technology, graphics, performance, and exterior appearance all come straight from the factory before hitting dealership lots. The outside has few changes, including Satin Titanium bead-lock capable wheels, and a matching 6.2-liter hood badge and bed decal. Inside, the interior gets more of an upgrade.

Consumers will be greeted by a TRX 6.2L Supercharged V8 – Final Edition cluster splash screen and an ultra-premium center console badge that denotes the build number in this final edition. Seats are super comfortable, including 8-way power driver and passenger seats. The upholstery comes with Patina stitching on the dashboard, and seats, plus an embroidered “TRX” seat back logo. On the passenger-side is a TRX dashboard badge in Satin Titanium finish, and Triaxle-suede door panel inserts continue the exclusive prestige feel of the cabin. Not ignoring its off-road prowess, the TRX Final Edition also features 4×4 weave matte carbon fiber on the instrument panel, doors, console, and steering wheel.

As far as tech goes, the TRX continues to bring it with a 19-speaker Harman Kardon premium sound system, Head-Up Display, and digital rearview mirror. Even with all this power, safety is still a large concern. The 2024 Ram 1500 TRX 6.2L Supercharged V8 – Final Edition features adaptive cruise control, Lane Keep Assist, pedestrian emergency braking blind-spot and cross-path detection, and ParkSense front and rear park assist with stop.  Many of the basic safety features are still there, including advanced multistage front airbags, supplemental front-mounted and side-curtain airbags, traction and stability control systems, trailer safety, and a ParkView Rear Back-up Camera.

The original MSRP for the TRX was pretty large at $84k, so believe that this Final Edition is definitely for true fans with big pockets. With a starting MSRP of $117,625 (plus destination fee), orders will begin in the fourth quarter of 2023 (October – December).
