2025 Ram 1500 REV Specs Finally Revealed!
Initially teased in December 2022 was the new battery-electric vehicle (BEV) by Ram Truck, the Ram 1500 Revolution. Shortened to the Ram 1500 REV, or Ram Electric Vehicle, the 1500 REV also showed up at the 2023 Chicago Auto Show and the 2023 New York International Auto Show. More than just a slowly rotating platform with a model on it, this time, we get to see some real specs. It won’t be available for another few years, but you can still check out what’s new about the 2025 Ram 1500 REV below.
Powertrain
It’s electric! Introduced during the 2023 Super Bowl with the wordplay ad “Premature Electrification”. Now ready to show the world what a BEV by Ram can do, the 1500 REV will offer drivers two electric drive modules (EDMs) and will offer two all-electric power options. The standard 1500 REV is powered by a 168-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery, able to offer a target all-electric range (AER) of up to 350 mile. For a BEV pickup truck that packs a punch, the upgradable 229-kWh large battery pack comes with a target AER of up to 500 miles. With crazy new charging capabilities, the 1500 REV can get 110 miles of range in 10 minutes of charging with 800-volt DC fast charging at 350 kW.
A pickup truck is only as good as its capability. With range in the bag, able to generate up to 654 horsepower and 620 lb-ft of torque, the Ram 1500 REV has a maximum towing capacity of 14,000 pounds and a maximum payload capacity of 2,700 pounds. A utility truck, the 1500 REV is also able to provide up to 7.2 kW via the truck bed, and up to 3.6 kW more with an an available onboard power panel in the front trunk, thanks to vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-home and vehicle-to-grid bi-directional charging. Off-roading capability is also hinted at with up to 24 inches of water fording.
Style
Up in front is the new signature lit “tuning fork” premium LED headlamps, an illuminated R-A-M badge, a new front trunk (frunk) that offers a best-in-class 15 cubic-feet of space available. Able to ride on equip 20- or 22-inch all-terrain tires, the profile of the truck has sculpted, muscular lines, ending at an all-new power tailgate, featuring another modern R-A-M badge and a premium LED taillight design. Integrated into the driver’s side front quarter panel is the charging port. It illuminates and blinks with LEDs when charging, able to support Level 1 and Level 2 AC charging on the top half and DC fast charging on the bottom half. To top it all off, the highly versatile, weatherproof, lockable, convenient RamBox returns for the 2025 Ram 1500 REV.
Inside, the first all-electric pickup truck from Ram needs to be upscale and flashy. Made with premium textures, colors, and materials, including carbon-fiber, metal, and leather, the driver is instantly greeted by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch touchscreen display. The front passenger also gets a little something with a segment-first 10.25-inch passenger screen. Able to control multiple things with the e-shifter now, it’s not just about changing gears – consumers can also control eco mode, one-touch button opening for the front trunk, new regeneration settings (normal or one-pedal), a redesigned starter button, and push-button trailer steering knob.
With a really high-end Tungsten trim, the Ram 1500 REV offers a interior cabin with Indigo/Sea Salt interior with new platinum patina/semi-bright dual-textured metal accents, diamond knurling, suede-wrapped headliner, A- and B-pillars, and visor. The best seats in the game, the driver and front passenger seats are 24-way power adjustable with memory settings and a massage function, power lumbar support, four-way powered headrests, and are heated and ventilated, wrapped in premium quilted leather. On the center console, inlaid lettering and diamond knurling don a Tungsten badge. Consumers can also find the vehicle identification number (VIN), brushed platinum patina aluminum bezels, a unique shifter center cap, all-new dual wireless chargers, and a metal pedal kit.
Technology
Displayed on that 14.5-inch touchscreen is Uconnect 5. This touchscreen offers split-screen capability, and the front-passenger screen provides three major functions as the co-pilot: navigation and device management, entertainment (via HDMI), and viewing exterior vehicle cameras. What if there is no co-pilot? The driver also gets access to a full-color HUD can expand up to 10-inches and provide various information that can be personalized and saved into a driver profile. The Tungsten trim come with a 23-speaker ultra-premium Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system with a high-performing 12-inch subwoofer
New for the 2025 Ram 1500 REV is an EV Pages system that can provide the driver with information about the BEV, including power flow, range impact (how to increase range and reduce energy consumption), driving history, charge schedules, plug & charge (authorizes payments when plugged into a compatible charging station, max battery level, charging level, and much more. Although the pickup truck does come with the traditional key fob, the world is digital with the Ram app, able to access and start the vehicle with their smartphone and share digital keys with other smartphone uses. Also, a card key for some reason as a backup in case a consumer loses their keys but not their wallet.
