Right when the pandemic started to pick up speed in America was early-mid March. By April, nearly every state was in some form of lockdown for weeks to come. The economy took a turn and every industry with manufacturing plants had to shut down. However, this wasn’t the time to stop producing – just the time to stop producing the usual product. Automakers everywhere got to work on producing masks and medical equipment for healthcare workers and hospitals fighting COVID-19. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (soon to be known as Stellantis) was a part of this group of automakers and there’s no slowing down. Only a week later, Chrysler expanded its efforts to feed hungry children, and just recently, Ram Trucks decided to step it up with donations to Midland County, Michigan, Flood Disaster Relief Efforts in the wake of the ongoing storms during the 2020 Hurricane Season.

First the virus and now hurricane season, 2020 is not looking pretty for anyone. It’s nice to know even the head honchos making the big bucks know it’s not all about the money, and nothing says, “We Care” like donating to an organization in need. After a massive flood that devastated the residents of Midland, Michigan, Ram Trucks took a stand. The Ram Nation organization, the United Way, and Michigan Ram Truck dealerships have all opened their doors to serve and support the Midland County flood disaster relief efforts. Midland Relief Donation Centers everywhere are able to receive personal protective equipment, food, water, personal care items, and household goods from those who want to aid in the recovery.

“The Ram Truck brand understands that while the flood waters in Midland continue to recede, the needs of the residents will overwhelmingly rise, and the impact of these floods will be felt for years to come…Ram Nation is galvanizing its forces to assist this community in need, and with the support of United Way and our dealerships in the area, we hope to encourage others to assist this community initiative during its crucial time of need.” – Mike Koval Jr., Head of Ram Brand

Ram Nation volunteers are also joining the effort. Able to fill their Ram trucks with goods to deliver the donated products and supplies to where they need to go – designated distribution points that are housing displaced Midland residents – it’s a beautiful thing. Not only this, but the Ram Truck brand has announced that it will match every monetary dealership donation made to the United Way of Midland County in support of flood relief efforts up to $50,000.

Ram Nation is a grassroots volunteer corps of Ram owners and like-minded people, created back in 2015. With volunteers and Ram owners willing to come together and help those in need is a wonderous feat. People from all around help to haul supplies, deliver equipment, clear debris, distribute food and water, and even make donations that can help not only the people in their communities but also people in need around the world.

For truck owners looking to help, whether you can mobilize volunteers to assist in disaster relief efforts or help deliver goods, sign up here for Ram Nation. Looking to help your own community? It’s time to invest in a Ram Truck from Aventura Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.
