Ram Trucks Earn Two Prestigious Awards in a Week
Ram Trucks has been making some noise lately, mostly at the end of the summer when the automaker released three new models, the Ram 1500 TRX Ignition Edition, Longhorn SouthFork, and the RAM (RED) Edition. The last one is also a part of a mission where automakers have joined (RED) – Ram, FIAT, and Jeep to help the fight against COVID-19. Recently, U.S. News & World Report and Car and Driver both named Ram on their “Best of” lists. Yes, it’s that time of the year, when automotive journalists and publications start to put together lists and hand out awards.
U.S. News & World Report
Well known in the consumer world, U.S. News & World Report is the global leader in reviewing and analyzing Education, Health, Money, Travel, Cars, News and more. U.S. News is one of the go-to sources consumers will use when making informed decisions about car buying thanks to U.S. News, consumers are provided with rankings, independent reporting, data journalism, and advice. Recently, U.S. News & World Report named the Ram brand the “Best Truck Brand” for 2022 with its own Ram 1500 leading the pack. It’s the third big award Ram has earned this year as an automaker.

Ram was picked out of 36 brands in competition. Best Vehicle Brand awards recognizes industry-wide excellence for cars, SUVs, trucks, and luxury vehicles by averaging the overall score of all the given brand’s products. The brand with the highest overall average score was named the winner.
Car and Driver
Car and Driver is another well-known name in the industry, and the 10 Best List is one of the biggest lists consumers can use to find the best vehicles on the market. All the newest cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans available on the market today make the list. To be entered into the competition, a vehicle must be new or refreshed enough to be new. That’s why Ram entered the new 2022 Ram 1500 Limited 10th Anniversary and 2022 Ram 1500 TRX. This is the third consecutive year that the Ram 1500 lineup is the only pickup truck to secure a spot on this list.
For the 10Best list, each model is rated using a 100-point scale, basing each score on how well it meets its intended purpose, how good a value it is and how compelling it is to operate. To make the list is a huge honor for an automaker and its respective lineup. 2021 marks the fourth consecutive year that Car and Driver combined 10Best Cars and 10Best Trucks and SUVs into a single list, and it’s also the fourth year in a row that the Ram 1500 – the most awarded light-duty truck in America – was named on Car and Driver’s 10Best.
