Ram Truck Reveals Three New 2022 Models
2022 is still several months away, but many automakers are releasing vehicles for the 2022 model year. One busy automaker is Ram Truck, releasing the new 1500 TRX Ignition Edition, Longhorn SouthFork, and Ram is one of the automakers that have recently joined (RED). Founded in 2006, (RED) is an organization that partners with iconic consumer brands to raise awareness about disease and illness, and a part of profits from the 2022 Ram 1500 (RAM)RED Edition go towards helping the organization aid those in need. Each of these models offer more for the consumer in 2022, and you can check out the highlights of each below.
Ram 1500 TRX Ignition Edition
The Ram 1500 TRX is the apex predator of the lineup, flaunting the most power and capability for a light-duty pickup truck. Whenever a vehicle is very popular, automakers will sometimes release special editions of them for the real fans. The TRX Ignition Edition features a unique combination of technology, exterior graphics, and performance. Like the original TRX edition, the TRX Ignition Edition is powered by a high-performance 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI® V-8 engine, able to generate 702 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque.
Adding some special amenities, the TRX Ignition comes with a panoramic sunroof, spray-in bedliner, cargo tie-downs, bed step and an LED cab-mounted brake light adorning the exterior, with a unique Ignition exterior color and graphics. This edition also rolls out on 18-inch machine face black wheels. Inside, the TRX Ignition Edition adds some style with Copperhead Orange stitching and an embroidered “TRX” seat back logo, copper carbon fiber accents, and an orange center console badge. A small upgrade for technology is a Head-up Display that features TRX in Ignition Orange and pedestrian emergency braking.
The Ram 1500 TRX Ignition Edition has a starting MSRP of $91,585 (plus destination fee) and will be available by the end of the year (2021).
Ram 1500 Longhorn SouthFork
In 2022, the Limited Longhorn 10th Anniversary model will be replaced by the Longhorn SouthFork model. This model adds a multi-function tailgate, deployable bed step, and spray-in bedliner. Riding on Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires, the SouthFork can handle off-road and various on-road driving conditions. The starting MSRP for the Ram 1500 Longhorn SouthFork is $61,620 (plus destination fee) and will be available by the end of the year.
Ram 1500 (RAM)RED Edition
Joining the “Red Mission”, and that’s not a reference to the planet Mars, Ram, Jeep and FIAT brands have committed a minimum of $4 million to the Global Fund between 2021-2023. That means a portion of models with the (RED) tag will go towards the (RED) organization, and the 2022 Ram 1500 (RAM)RED Edition is a part of the commitment the brand made. The Ram 1500 (RAM)RED Edition is built on the 1500 Limited trim and is only available with a Crew Cab configuration. This model can be powered by either the V8 engine or EcoDiesel. Special tidbits for the (RED) model include red R-A-M grille and door badging and a (RED) badge on the center console lid.
The Ram 1500 (RAM)RED has a starting MSRP of $63,250 (plus destination fee) and will be available by the end of 2021.
