In a world where it feels like things are going downhill, there are mountains and rivers around the corner. Things will eventually get better – it’s something we all here, and when it comes to our dreams and goals, sometimes it’s all we here. A helping hand can go a long way, and the Ram Truck brand is continuing its marketing campaign with Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters, several amateur bands will also become the opening act for the Foo Fighters summer tour of 2021 and with the help of SiriusXM and Pandora will be touring with the Ram BandVan Back To Live Tour in their own Ram ProMaster van.

“Our Ram BandVan program first launched in 2018 and we are thrilled to activate the next phase of the initiative to help support musicians doing what they love and bringing their fans the performances that they have missed…As the brand that is ‘Built to Serve,’ we share mutual values of hard work and dedication with these talented artists, and it is our pleasure to provide them reliable, comfortable and spacious ProMaster vans, supporting their careers and helping them to reconnect with friends and fans across the country.” – Marissa Hunter, Vice President, Marketing – North America, Stellantis

This new initiative comes hot off the heels as a part of the Ram ad campaign “Spotlight”, featuring Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters. The Ram BandVan Back To Live Tour coincides with “What Drives Us,” a feature-film documentary directed by Grohl that highlights the band’s original Ram band van, the “Big Red Delicious”. What an odd name for a van, but we’ve heard weirder. Expanding the reach of the campaign to the community, the 2021 opening act for the Foo Fighters summer tour will be performed by a new rising band that got their turn with the ProMaster BandVan. The way the tour works is the BandVan gets passed on to each new band throughout the year for travel, band practice, amongst other things while on the road. Fans can follow and learn about the artist’s unique stories on RamBandVan.com and Ram brand’s official YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter channels. The first opening act goes to Radkey.

The band seems very pumped and excited to get a chance to go Live and tour with the Ram Band Van and shared their experience with it so far. Thanks to Ram and SiriusXM, a longstanding partnership that dates way back, Ram and SiriusXM buddy up for new things like this. Back in 2018, Ram was the first automaker to offer SiriusXM with 360L on its next generation of the Ram 1500. SiriusXM with 360L is the most extensive and personalized radio experience on the road, and it later launched Personalized Stations Powered by Pandora, also an exclusive to Ram Truck at the time. This new feature allowed drivers to create their own ad-free music stations based on the artist they are listening to, as well as rate and create their own personal channels that play more of what they like. A perfect way for bands to travel, able to listen to the songs that inspire them and keep an ad-free soundtrack to avoid any annoying voices coming over the radio and disrupting the creative flow lyricists need to write good songs.
