Listen to the Roar of the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT BEV
With the Dodge Challenger gone and the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT electric vehicle released, muscle fans are worried that their high-performance car won’t still sound like a Dodge. After all, electric motors are kind of quiet, despite their performance and speed. When it comes to Dodge eMuscle, they plan to make more battery-electric vehicles (BEVs), but there will be no mistake that it’s a Dodge. Step 1? Make it sound like a Dodge, and that’s exactly what the automaker did to the Charger Daytona SRT BEV with a Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust.

So, there you go. The Charger Daytona SRT may be all-electric but it doesn’t sound electric. Just listen to that purr. It may sound obvious, but the “Fratzonic” is of course inspired by the Dodge’s brand’s historic Fratzog logo for its eMuscle lineup. Now that we finally got a good tease at the sound of an eMuscle car in the video above, all that’s left is the real thing. Anyone who went to the Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge event over the weekend got to hear it for themselves in person. We’re sure there were plenty of people impressed.
What other reaction could there be? The patent-pending Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust system is some piece of work. Equipped with dual bespoke, high-efficiency extreme bandwidth transducers, dual Fratzonic Chamber-loaded passive radiators, and dedicated amplifier with up to 600 watts of power, the roar of the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT BEV may be fake, but the system generates the deep rumble and visceral feel that still lives in Dodge DNA. Responding to driver and vehicle inputs, such as accelerator pedal position, speed, and torque, when driving this BEV, it still sounds like a Dodge. The Daytona SRT BEV will also feel like a Dodge thanks to several driving modes that change how the motor sounds.
Sport Mode offers a more mild sound output, whereas Drag, Drift, Donut, and Track Modes will deliver a louder roar. For those who want to feel like a super-fast ninja, there’s also a fully silent Stealth Mode. The world’s first Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust also offers plenty of features that Dodge eMuscle is becoming known for, such as PowerShot and E-motor regeneration to keep performance in mind while keeping the battery charged for longer.
