Jeep Wagoneer Named Best Premium Full-Size SUV by NEMPA in 2024

When it comes to setting the standard for off-road 4×4 action, the Jeep brand has made a name for itself. Always changing the way consumers look at a Jeep, it’s not just an SUV with a lot of customization options. Released in 2018, the Jeep Gladiator was revealed, the first off-road pickup truck by the automaker and reminded us of the once Dodge Ram Dakota mid-size pickup truck. In 2021, the brand had a temporary separate subsidiary, Wagoneer, introducing a luxury Jeep lineup to the industry with the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. Still turning heads, the 2024 Jeep® Grand Wagoneer has been named NEMPA Best Premium Full-Size SUV during the annual New England Motor Press Association (NEMPA) winter vehicle competition.
“The Jeep Grand Wagoneer embodies both capability and luxury…Its advanced four-wheel-drive systems, cutting-edge technology and premium cabin come together to create a unique driving experience. We’re especially grateful for the recognition from the New England Motor Press Association members, as it reinforces the Grand Wagoneer’s ability to excel in even the harshest winter conditions.” – said Bill Peffer, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America
This year marks the second consecutive year the Jeep Grand Wagoneer has earned the title of the “Best Premium Full-Size SUV”. During last year’s competition, the Grand Wagoneer also won the “Official Winter SUV of the Year” and “Best Premium Full-Size SUV” awards. Standing out amongst the competition, the Grand Wagoneer was selected by NEMPA after driving the SUV through the harsh winter of New England. Tested on a variety of road conditions in strong weather situations, the vehicles in this competition are analyzed by consumers living in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont to supply their audience with information on the newest vehicles in the market, reaching an estimated 14.5 million vehicle consumer base in the market.
Put through this ultimate test, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer redefines the meaning of American luxury. Starting at $92,540 (plus destination fee), the 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer comes with four trim options, the Grand Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer Obsidian, Grand Wagoneer Series III, and Grand Wagoneer Series III Obsidian. Even with luxury in mind, the Grand Wagoneer is still a true Jeep vehicle with 4×4 as the sole drivetrain available, able to offer a 48:1, 10-inches of ground clearance, and up to 24 inches of water fording. Also standard is a Selec-terrain system that offers drive modes: Snow, Sand/Mud and Auto, a Quadra-Lift Air Suspension system, an electronic rear limited-slip differential to keep traction going even on the world’s roads or tracks.
Boasting the most passenger and cargo space in its class, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer can fit a lot of people or a lot of gear. If going on a ride with a lot of people, the available 75-inch total display area featuring built-in Amazon Fire TV would be a good choice to entertain passengers on long drives. For listening to tunes, consumers can opt-in for the segment-first McIntosh 23-speaker sound system. The award-winning Uconnect 5 infotainment system is also available for opening up a world of apps and navigation.
