Jeep Reveals First Three of Four BEV Models
Back in March 2022, Jeep shared a preview of its first all-electric SUV to hit the streets. Donned in yellow and a black roof, it turns out that this electric SUV will be one of four that Jeep will be releasing between now and 2025. Leading Stellantis into the electric age with the Wrangler 4xe, Jeep is not alone in going all electric with Dodge eMuscle and the all-electric Ram 1500 – plus the all-electric Ram ProMaster that Amazon ordered a fleet of – and now the first -ever fully Electric Jeep SUV to be released, the all-new Jeep Avenger.

The first to hit in Europe next year (2023), the Jeep Avenger is leading the pack for the new generation of what 4xe means, but Jeep has made even greater claims. By the end of this year (2022-2023), 100-percent of the Jeep SUV portfolio will become electrified. It is unclear if that means all-electric or more of the plug-in hybrid 4xe models. The Jeep Avenger is said to have all the same off-road capability of other Jeep SUVs, stating impressive ground clearance and breakover and approach angles for its segment, although no numbers have been reported for this. Driving range is estimate to be about 250 miles. With an advanced interior, keeping passenger and cargo space still there, the Avenger will officially debut during the Paris Motor Show press day, on October 17, 2022.
Following the release of the Jeep Avenger will be the all-new Jeep Recon and all-electric Jeep Wagoneer, both said to land in North America in 2024. The Jeep Recon is the model adventurers want to look for. The Avenger may claim to be just as capable, but the Recon is a 100-percent Jeep 4×4 with true trail-rated capability, outfitted with an e-locker axle technology, under-body protection, tow hooks, and strong off-road tires. Coming standard with the classic Jeep Selec-Terrain traction management system, most likely offering all five available terrain modes (Auto, Sport, Rock, Snow, and Mud/Sand). Featuring the customization of Jeep, the Recon will also offer a one-touch powertop, removable doors, and glass. If this all sounds good, reservation orders for the electric Jeep Recon will start in early 2023 for North America. We’ll get a preview of the model when it first hits Europe.
With production starting in 2024 in North America, the all-new, all-electric Wagoneer will be the next on the list. Codenamed the Wagoneer S, the electric Wagoneer will bring Jeep’s premium lineup into the new expansion of 4xe models. Also designed with 4×4 capability as standard, with all-terrain management included. Stating a target range of 400 miles, the Wagoneer is performance ready, able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds. Reservations for the all-new Wagoneer battery-electric Vehicle (BEV) will also start in early 2023.
