Jeep Releases Jeep Gladiator Altitude Edition
Ever since Jeep released the Jeep® Gladiator pickup truck, the off-road truck has been a favorite amongst Jeepers and truck drivers everywhere. Continuing to expand the Jeep Gladiator lineup, Jeep released its first Desert Rated vehicle at the 2020 Chicago Auto Show, the Jeep Gladiator Mojave Edition. Then, the first round of plug-in hybrid Jeep vehicles was released, one of them the Jeep Gladiator 4xe, released in Europe so far. Most recently, Jeep seeks to further the expansion of the lineup with the Altitude Model.

You read that right. The Jeep Gladiator Altitude will be the official Blackout edition of the Jeep Gladiator for a new level of personalized content and a distinct appearance. Unlike most blacked-out vehicle editions though, the entirety of the Jeep Gladiator doesn’t come with many black components or a paint job. The 2021 Jeep Gladiator Altitude is based on the Sport S model and comes with a body-color grille with Dark Gray throats and headlamp rings, body-color fender flares, black Jeep and Trail Rated badging, and 18-inch Granite Crystal aluminum wheels wrapped in 255/70R18 Bridgestone Dueler All-Terrain tires. Usually, everything would be blacked out, or come with a two-tone paint job with black as one of the mandatory choices. A black Freedom hardtop is standard on Gladiator Altitude, however, with the dual top as an available option. The interior also comes with more blacked-out features with standard black cloth seats and leather-wrapped steering wheel with black stitching, Wizard Black instrument panel mid-bolster and bezels.
Based on the Sport S model, the 2021 Jeep Gladiator Altitude is powered by the simple 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, capable of generating 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, tied to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Designed with a versatile cargo box and a detachable Bluetooth speaker built into the rear seat, the Jeep Gladiator offers plenty of fun and adventure. The 2020 Jeep Gladiator Altitude Edition has a starting MSRP of $40,340 (plus destination fee), and can come in the following colors: Black, White, Firecracker Red, Billet Silver, Granite Crystal, Sting Gray, Hydro Blue, Gator and Gobi.
