Highlights of the 2020 Dodge Charger Lineup

October 2nd, 2019 by

Who out there is ready for the 2020 Dodge Models? Not too long ago, we covered some of the new highlights to look forward to for the 2020 model year of the Dodge Challenger, Dodge Journey, Dodge Grand Caravan, and Dodge Durango. We were waiting for the 2020 Dodge Charger to release some specs, but it was a ghost until now. That’s right, plenty of specs for the 2020 Dodge Charger have been released by the official Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) news source, FCA Media. It looks like there’s something new for every trim this year, marking what could be the last model year we see this many powertrain options on a Dodge muscle car. Can any of it compare with the best news of all – a 2020 Dodge Charger Widebody.

“With 707 horsepower, a 0-60 time of 3.6 seconds, .96 g on the skidpad and a suggested starting price less than $70k, the new 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody is a unicorn in the performance sedan segment…Nowhere but Dodge can you find a sedan with the power and performance per dollar across the entire Charger lineup.” – Tim Kuniskis, Global Head of Alfa Romeo and Head of Passenger Cars – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America

The 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody may definitely be the highlight of the lineup, but just like the 2019 Dodge Challenger that released widebody options for the Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack trim, the 2020 Dodge Charger Scat Pack can also come with the widebody. Dodge also released the Limited Edition 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition, the hottest Dodge Charger that might ever be made.

There are a total of eight trims – SXT RWD, GT RWD, SXT AWD, R/T, Scat Pack, Scat Pack Widebody, SRT Hellcat Widebody, and the Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition – most of them come with something new for the 2020 model year, with an MSRP starting at $29,895 (plus destination fee).

2020 Dodge Charger GT

For 2020, the Charger GT gets a new set of 20-inch by 8-inch Satin Carbon wheels standard. A new package group has been added, the updated Performance Handling Group. Already offering Black Brembo fixed caliper four-piston brakes, high-performance suspension and 245/45ZR20 AS performance tires, the update adds a new leather flat-bottom steering wheel and 20-inch by 9-inch forged Black Noise wheels to the existing content. Two more new packages for the Charger GT include an updated Blacktop Package with new 19-inch Black Noise wheels and a Caramel color Nappa leather/Alcantara interior in the Plus Group.

2020 Dodge Charger SXT AWD

Gotta’ give the SXT with all-wheel drive some props. This is the best way to experience the muscle car DNA of the Dodge Charger for $33,595 (plus destination fee). New for 2020, the Charger SXT AWD comes with new 19-inch by 7.5-inch Satin Carbon standard, but consumers can opt-in for Blacktop wheels instead.

2020 Dodge Charger R/T

Interestingly enough, the 2020 Dodge Charger R/T got all the same upgrades as the 2020 Dodge Charger GT, plus new fender badges that sport a modern interpretation of the iconic HEMI script. The R/T trim also gets the updated Performance Handling Group available on the 2020 Dodge Charger GT and the two new package groups, the updated Blacktop Package and the Plus Group.

2020 Dodge Charger Scat Pack

The original Dodge Charger Scat Pack has an Updated Dynamics Package available for the 2020 model year. Already offering Black Brembo six-piston front brakes and 20-inch by 9.5-inch Low-gloss Black wheels with 275/40ZR20 all-season tires, the update adds a new leather flat-bottom steering wheel to the existing content. Also new for 2020, the Charger Scat Pack gets new interior instrument panel badging, a Carbon & Suede Interior Package, a Caramel color Nappa leather/Alcantara interior, and wheel options.

2020 Dodge Charger Scat Pack Widebody

The Dodge Charger Scat Pack with the Widebody looks like a true muscle car with integrated fender flares that add 3.5 inches of body width, making room on the body for 20-inch by 11-inch “Devil’s Rim” split-five spoke wheels, wrapped with wider, stickier Pirelli 305/35ZR20 tires. The 2020 Dodge Charger Scat Pack Widebody even has its own upgraded specially tuned suspension with Bilstein three-mode adaptive damping, standard EPS with selectable steering tuning. This Dodge Charger delivers its best on-road and on-track performance levels ever.

2020 Dodge Charger Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition

With only 501 units available, this limited edition 2020 Dodge Charger pays tribute to the 1969 Charger Daytona. Each unit comes with signature “Daytona” rear decklid graphics and a rear quarter decal lining up with the decklid. For a little more personalization, four exterior colors will be offered: Pitch Black, Triple Nickel, White Knuckle, and one color exclusive to the model, B5. Each unit will come with a dash plaque with its production number out of the 501 unit run.

You know what this means? We’re going to start getting all the specs up for the 2020 Dodge lineup. So be sure to stop by Aventura Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, especially if looking for the new 2020 Dodge Charger.
