Dodge Brings Power Dollars Back for 2024
If there was ever a time to become a fan of Dodge muscle cars, this would be it. We’ve said goodbye to the last generation of the Dodge Challenger, we have a new generation of the Dodge Charger and the first-ever all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona SRT, rumors of the Dodge SRT Banshee, and much more. We said had many “Last Call” limited edition runs for the Last Call of the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger (previous generation), “Last Call” special edition models of the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger, “Last Call” for HEMI®-powered Dodge Challenger and Charger models. Then came the “Last Call” for V8 Dodge Durango models. With all these “last call runs”, Dodge is bringing back another tradition to send of the last of some popular models – Dodge Power Dollars.
Remember this? Back in 2019 and again in 2020, muscle car automaker Dodge offered new prospective owners $10 per horsepower cash allowance when buying a new Dodge Challenger, Charger, or Durango – with some limitations. Trims ranging from SXT and GT models, from the award-winning Pentastar V6 efficiency engine (available with all-wheel-drive (AWD) capability) to the new 807-horsepower 2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock, almost every model and trim were available for this deal, except the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat.
Dodge is now bringing Dodge Power Dollars back for 2024. For 2024, the national sales promotion not only covers Durango, Charger, and Challenger models, but for the first time ever, also includes the Dodge Hornet. Sales for the last generation of the Challenger, Charger, and Durango are still going, and the new eMuscle vehicles are already gaining some traction. In 2019, Dodge hits its 500 million horsepower goal, so let’s see how 2024 goes.
“Dodge brand total sales in the U.S. increased 16% from the first quarter to the second quarter of 2024, and we plan to continue to build on that momentum…We know our Dodge//SRT enthusiasts crave more power and performance, and Dodge Power Dollars gives them an extra boost to join the Brotherhood of Muscle.” – Matt McAlear, Dodge brand CEO
Across the country, consumers in the United States can get $10 cash per unit of horsepower their Dodge model has. This year, the cash allowance can be applied toward the purchase of 2023 model-year Dodge Charger SXT, GT, and R/T models; the 2023 Challenger SXT, GT, and R/T models; all 2024 Dodge Durango trims; and especially the SRT 392 and supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® SRT Hellcat models. Like all the other “last call” models, don’t expect to see another SRT 392 or SRT Hellcat in a long time, if ever.
As of now, the “Last Call” Dodge Durango SRT 392 AlcHEMI model is available in select dealership lots with a few more limited edition models to come. The final run of the high-horsepower Durango SRT 392 V8 models, the Durango AlcHEMI comes with two base models for this limited edition series. The first is the 475-horsepower 5.7L HEMI-powered Durango R/T, followed by the 710-horsepower Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat. No news about the other “Last Call” Dodge Durango models has yet to surface, but to keep informed, follow along with us on Aventura Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram social media.
