It’s that time of year, people. AutoPacific is at it again with its annual Vehicle Satisfaction Awards. Last year, several vehicles from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) were named during the 2019 AutoPacific Customer Satisfaction Awards, and this year, FCA comes back in full swing. In 2020, four vehicles from FCA outmatched the competition for the best vehicle in their respective category. We’re taking a look at the light-duty Ram 1500 pickup truck, two vehicles from Alfa Romeo, the Dodge Challenger, and Chrysler 300.

But first, who is AutoPacific? What are the Vehicle Satisfaction Awards (VSA)? Going on its 24th year, it must be important.

“AutoPacific VSAs give consumers true, unbiased insight into which vehicles are providing their owners with the most satisfying experience,” – AutoPacific President George Peterson said

It might not be a household name, but AutoPacific is a future-oriented automotive marketing research and product-consulting firm with a focus in many industries. Like many automotive publications, AutoPacific supplies prospective consumers in the market with up-to-date information on the latest and newest vehicles. During the 24th VSA, vehicles were surveyed, measuring owner satisfaction across 27 individual vehicle attributes, right from AutoPacific’s New Vehicle Satisfaction Survey. The VSA helps to highlight the most satisfying cars, SUVs, and light trucks on the market. With the AutoPacific’s VSAs survey responses based on more than 73,000 new-vehicle owners, there is a pretty good idea of how consumers feel about these cars.

For 2020, the competition was rough, but several FCA vehicles took home top honors. Those two vehicles from Alfa Romeo include the Giulia that won out in the Standard Luxury Car category, and for the Standard Luxury Crossover SUV category was the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. When it comes to vehicles you can find at Aventura Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, there were three award-winning vehicles. The Dodge Challenger beat the competition for the fourth consecutive year, earning the top spot in the Sports/Sporty Car category. For the second year-in-a-row, the Ram 1500 was named the Highest Satisfaction Popular Brand and got the Full-Size Pickup category, even with its light duty prowess. Then there is the Chrysler 300, blowing it up with the Large Car category.

The Ram 1500 has had a lot of good news lately, especially when it comes to the long awaited release of the Ram 1500 Rebel TRX, selling out of the Rebel TRX Launch Edition in a single day. Consumers and truck lovers have been waiting on the Ram TRX for quite some time. Powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 engine, it’s basically the Hellcat of Ram Trucks. Speaking of the Hellcat, Dodge has also brought back some Challenger models we’ve missed. Many people know Dodge vehicles by the air scoop hoods that help introduce cold air into the engine combustion chamber for more horsepower, but in the old days, one could also spot a Challenger by the Shaker Hood, returning for 2021. The Shaker Hood is an icon of Dodge Challenger muscle cars, giving the impression that the engine is so powerful that the hood of the car is literally shaking. Another favorite brought back is the Dodge Challenger T/A, also known as the Challenger TransAm from the classic days of Dodge, inspired by the 1971 model.
