2022 Ram 1500 TRX Releases Sandblast Edition
The Ram 1500 Rebel TRX was a cause for celebration once released. Called the “Apex Predator” of pickup trucks, hence the name “TRX”, as in “T-Rex”, this light duty pickup truck seemed to be a one-off at a time. Would Ram Trucks really continue to build on an already powerful behemoth of a truck? The answer is “Yes!” Introducing the new 2022 Ram 1500 TRX Sandblast Edition, consumers can get a desert-inspired Ram TRX, just in time for Jurassic World: Dominion.

The Ram light-duty lineup is known for having the the quickest, fastest, most powerful, and most fuel-efficient trucks in the market today. With the release of the TRX, a pickup truck powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 engine, able to generate 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque and accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds. Built for going off-road and handling various terrain as well as dominating on the road, the Ram TRX comes with a large ground clearance of 11.8 inches and is equipped with a new BorgWarner 48-13 full-time active transfer case with a low range of 2.64:1 for rock crawling and flat-towing.
For unique content and personalization with a combination of technology, graphics, performance and exterior appearance changes, the Ram 1500 TRX Sandblast Edition is enhanced with the TRX Level 2 Equipment Group. Adding a unique Mojave Sand exterior color and graphics, unique 18-inch all-black beadlock capable wheels, dual pane panoramic sunroof, spray-in bedliner, cargo tie-downs, bed step and an LED cab-mounted brake light, the truck is built for the outdoors and adventure. The interior cabin comes with light touches, including Light Frost accent stitching, an embroidered “TRX” seat back logo, unique carbon fiber accents, a leather and carbon-fiber flat-bottom steering wheel, unique center console badge, Head-up Display and a driver’s screen that features TRX in Mojave Sand. The TR2 Group is also known to add heated and ventilated premium Natura Plus leather with perforated suede accents and front bucket and rear bench seats.
This all pairs with the standard Uconnect 4C NAV on 12-inch touchscreen nicely. Speaking of the tech, a class-exclusive 900-watt premium Harman Kardon audio system with 19 speakers and 10-inch subwoofer also comes standard with the 2022 Ram TRX.
Select safety features have also been made standard for the Sandblast Edition of the Ram 1500 TRX. Blind-spot Monitoring, Ready Alert Braking, and Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning-Plus are still available add-ons. The Sandblast Edition includes adaptive cruise control, Lane Keep Assist, and pedestrian emergency braking. Going on sale this summer (2022), the starting MSRP is $98,285 (plus destination fee). It’s a bit of a leap from the starting MSRP of $77,880 (plus destination fee), but the level of luxury and changes to the exterior definitely sound worth it.
