Pricing for Ram HD Revealed

In January 2019, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) unveiled the new heavy-duty pickup truck lineup from Ram at the 2019 North American International Auto Show. For 2019, the Ram Heavy Duty 2500 and 3500 made waves during the auto show while on display, giving consumers a look at all the upgrades and features available. Best of all, the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty is the most powerful, most capable pickup in its segment, with a towing capacity of 35,100 pounds and a payload capacity of 7,680 lbs. Now, we know the starting price of these beauties, and joining them are the 3500, 4500, and 5500 Chassis Cabs.

Available in a wide range, the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty pertains to the 2500 and 3500 models, powered by the 6.4-liter HEMI® V8 engine under the hood. Able to deliver class-leading 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque, and paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission, consumers can get a nice bit of work done. If in need of more power, the optional 6.7-liter Cummins High Output Turbo Diesel engine is there to generate up to 1000 lb-ft of torque and provide that class segment strength.

“In launching the new 2019 Ram Heavy Duty pickups and Chassis Cab trucks, we knew it was important to offer class-leading capability, features, and technology. But it’s also important to offer our great products at a competitive price…We feel that we’ve delivered the right mix that Ram Truck customers – across a broad spectrum – will appreciate.” – Reid Bigland, Head of Ram Truck Brand – FCA

A competitive price is right, with the new 2019 Ram Heavy Duty starting at $33,395 MSRP (plus destination fee) for a Ram 2500 Tradesman with a regular cab, 4×2 drivetrain, and 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine. That number goes up to $67,050 (plus destination fee) for the top trim level, technology-leading Ram 3500 Limited with a Mega Cab, a 4×4 drivetrain, 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine, and the iconic 12-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 4C. If consumers are looking for more power, they’ll find an additional $9100 price tag with the optional 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel, tied to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Available only on the 3500 is an optional 1,000 lb.-ft. of torque Cummins High Output engine, paired with the Aisin 6-speed transmission, and adding on $11,795.

Even with all this performance, comfort doesn’t take a rain check in the Ram Heavy Duty lineup. Combining benchmark performance with strength, luxury and technology is just the way Ram does trucks. That goes for safety too, with new safety features that include adaptive cruise control and Forward Collision Warning, both with full stop while towing; a 360-degree surround-view camera; trailer reverse guidance; cargo-view camera with dynamic gridlines; auxiliary cameras and a bed-lowering mode.

Making a debut under the radar at the Chicago Auto Show, the 2019 Ram 3500, 4500, and 5500 Chassis Cab commercial trucks ushered in a new generation. Also leading the segment in capability, Ram Chassis Cab trucks are the most durable, most capable, and most confident cab and chassis trucks Ram has engineered to date. Sporting a towing capacity up to 35,220 pounds, the highest Gross Combined Weight Rating of 43,000 pounds, and payload up to 12,510 pounds, there’s a whole lot of muscle. It all starts at 34,750 (plus destination fee).
