2019 Dodge Challenger units have already started filling up Dodge dealership lots for the new and improved muscle car, and lots of surprises are coming with it. There’s the new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye, the 2019 model year replacement for the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, and some changes to the lineup. Reduced, the lineup is made of six trims for 2019 and has come with some new performance options. Out of these options, possibly the most exciting is the new 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack – able to get SRT Demon components and SRT Hellcat style, the new R/T Scat Pack for 2019 keeps getting better – now, it’s signature package is available to order.

The 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack is powered by a 6.4-liter V8 that can generate 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. Let’s review what this special trim comes with for 2019. As discussed in “Five Things You Should Know About the 2019 Dodge Challenger”, the R/T Scat Pack has some new available performance additions, including launch control, launch assist, line lock, and SRT drive modes. With a little weight loss, 200 pounds, this is the most powerful Dodge Challenger trim one can get for under $45k.

Of course, that number will be set off if one were to opt-in for the Widebody package on the 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack. Yep, the same crazy package that makes the SRT Hellcat look demonic is available to the R/T Scat Pack, a mid-level trim in the lineup. That package adds 20-inch “Devil’s Rim” aluminum wheels wrapped in (optional) Pirelli P Zero summer tires for extra grip, adds extended fender flares to the body, a blacked-out rear lip spoiler, and a scalloped hood to the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, SRT Hellcat Redeye, and the R/T Scat Pack.

The 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack became so popular, Dodge even started a new drag-racing club on Dodge Garage based off of it, the Dodge 1320 Club. If that isn’t enough proof, Dodge also developed a new package for the R/T Scat Pack. Known as the “1320 Package” and also the “Angry Bee Package”, this is the package consumers should get if they’re looking for SRT Demon power for under $50k.

Included in the 1320 Package is TransBrake, a Torque Reserve System, Line Lock, Launch Assist (with track-friendly traction control), Launch Control, an SRT three-mode adaptive suspension system (with Drag Mode), deletes the passenger and rear seats but makes them available for $1 each, a 3.09 limited slip differential, 41-spline rear axle shafts, a Brembo front braking system with 4-piston calipers, low-gloss black 20×9.5-inch aluminum wheels with knurled bead seats to prevent tire slip and wrapped in Nexen SUR4G Drag Spec 275/40R20 street-legal drag radials, designed specifically for the 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320. Consumers can only get this package with the 8-speed TorqueFlite transmission. We’re surprised this didn’t happen sooner.
