New Ram Laramie LongHorn Southfork Edition (for Texans)
It would seem automotive brand Ram is starting to play favorites lately. Either that, or they’re working their way into untapped niches of the automotive industry. In just the last few months, Ram introduced a special edition truck for those looking for a life luxury, followed by a truck edition made for the farmers, and now Texans are getting a Ram special edition of their own.
Over the summer, Ram debuted a truck with a higher level of sophistication than the rest of its lineup, though that isn’t to say their angle hasn’t always been a truck of luxury. To up the ante, they showed off their new special edition, the Ram Limited Tungsten edition. Made with noteworthy additions, such as a truck segment-first Light Greystone suede headliner and ultra-premium “Natura Plus” Frost and Indigo-colored premium leather throughout the cabin, Indigo-colored carpet with rubber floormats and snap-out Frost and Indigo carpeted inserts, real wood interior components, and unique badges, the Limited Tungsten Ram truck will make any Ram 1500, Ram 2500, or Ram 3500 pretty classy. The Ram 1500 Limited Tungsten Edition also has a starting MSRP of $55,120 – not bad.
Just in time for the autumnal equinox, Ram debuted another special edition for their 1500, 2500, and 3500 lineups. Made for the farmers of America, Ram came out with the Ram Harvest Edition for 2018, and it has special features for workers in the agriculture industry. Features includes a ride-height increase of 1 inch that gives the truck a total of nine inches of ground clearance, farm-life essentials such as black tubular side steps, a durable spray-in bedliner, fold-out bumper step, mud flaps, rubber floor mats, and optional heated seats for long cold nights of hard work. Plus, a little nifty, is the up-to-the-minute weather maps and forecasts available via Uconnect 4C. Ram 1500 Harvest Edition MSRP starts at $39,910. Ram Heavy Duty models start at $46,235.
Now, to make traversing the long stretches of Texas highways, or simply life on the ranch more bearable, Ram is releasing a special edition for Texans – the Ram Laramie Longhorn Southfork Edition. Also available for the Ram 1500, Ram 2500, and Ram 3500, available with 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrain, Crew Cab and Mega cab, and either with a short box or long box truck bed. The same configurations are available for the above editions, so don’t fret about needing to fit certain requirements if either caught your eye.
Only for Texans (at the moment), the Ram Laramie Longhorn Southfork Edition includes a new Canyon Brown and Light Frost Beige Natura Plus 100 percent full-grain leather seat options, leather wrapped A- and B-pillar grab handles, a Walnut-trimmed steering wheel, suede headliner, a glove box plaque that denotes it is a special edition, a host of trim pieces that appear galvanized, ash accents, and Ruby Red stitching to set it apart. Advancements in technology include FCA’s newest generation of Uconnect displayed through an 8.4-inch touchscreen with Navigation, 4G WiFi capability, and Apple’s CarPlay and Google Android Auto functionality. Similar technology is also found in the aforementioned new editions. MSRP for the Laramie Longhorn Southfork Edition starts at $52,615 for the standard 1500 models, while 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty models start at $57,015.
