Aventura Mopar 2017 Dodge Challenger

Mopar celebrates 80 years in 2017, and they’re making sure people remember what they do best – taking normal vehicles and turning them into incredible creations. For the last seven years they have picked a vehicle to modify and this year it’s the Dodge Challenger. We’re sure the Mopar ‘17 Dodge Challenger will be quite the sight to see.

We discussed Mopar awhile back. It’s a common name in the auto industry, mostly due to all of their performance parts to give a vehicle a little extra push. We actually install some of their top-selling performance parts within our very own service center. Over the last 80 years, Mopar has done a lot for the auto industry – they even started their own warranty and service plan, the Mopar Complete 360.

Since 2010 they’ve been creating limited-edition vehicles, built with the same custom auto parts found in their catalog. Do you remember any of these from Mopar’s ongoing series? The Mopar ’11 Charger, Mopar ’12 300, Mopar ’13 Dart, Mopar ’14 Challenger, Mopar ’15 Dodge Charger R/T, or the Mopar ’16 Ram Rebel? Well it’s time to add another one to the list, the Mopar ‘17 Dodge Challenger.

The exterior of a Mopar-designed vehicle is always the giveaway. This year, the Dodge Challenger design will feature two two-tone body paint options – Contusion Blue or Billet Silver matched with Pitch Black. The latter will be hand-painted on the upper half of the Challenger, and thanks to the bodylines of the Dodge Challenger, the two-tone transition will flow flawlessly. Another giveaway will be a special, hand-painted Mopar 392 logo.

No sense in hiding it now. The Mopar ‘17 Dodge Challenger is powered by a 6.4-liter, 392 HEMI engine under the hood. Generating 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque, it’s gonna sound so sweet after Mopar installs their shaker hood package. Other performance parts include a cold air intake system, strut tower braces, and four-piston Brembo brakes. It all rides on 20-inch aluminum wheels with semi-gloss accents and Dodge logo hub caps. Oh, and the exhaust has been split, designed to match the look of the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat exhaust tips.

The interior of course isn’t left out of the equation, with Tungsten trimmed seats and stitching throughout the vehicle, and seat backs embroidered with the Mopar logo. You know how people always say “There were only 100 of these ever made, and I got one”? A special serialized Mopar ’17 80th Anniversary badge is included under the hood of the Mopar ‘17 Dodge Challenger with a number from 1-80 illustrating its unit number out of the total amount of vehicles made.

Customers will also receive a special Mopar ’17 Owner’s Kit with the Mopar ’17 Dodge Challenger, including:

  • Mopar welcome letter
  • “Birth certificate” with vehicle specifications, date of manufacture and proprietary vehicle number
  • Hand-signed Mopar ’17 rendering from the FCA US LLC Product Design Office
  • Special Mopar ’17 booklet
  • Customized acrylic memorabilia showpiece
  • Mopar valve stem caps
  • Mopar-branded items, including a Mopar ’17 keychain and a Mopar 80th anniversary badge

The Mopar ’17 Dodge Challenger will be available around spring time and MSRP is $55,790.
