Jeep Models Receive New Off-Road Packages from American Expedition Vehicles
Earlier this year, American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) had a little something to do with the Jeep® Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Concept at the 2023 Easter Jeep Safari. Well, more so just the wheels (custom 17-inch high-gloss black), but a worthwhile note given their next endeavor with Jeep. Made for Off-road enthusiasts looking for more grip and torque, AEV is expanding its availability of upfit options for Jeep brand vehicles. Available in three packages, the Jeep Wrangler is about to become more capable than ever, especially Rubicon models and, for first time ever, AEV upfit packages available specifically for the Wrangler Willys model.

Made for the 2024 Wrangler, the three new packages are called Upcountry, Upcountry+, and Level II. When purchased for the Rubicon, all upfit levels come with 35- or 37-inch tires. The Willy model comes with 35-inch tires standard. Every package is a little different, with plenty of mirrored features in each. The Upcountry upfit (available on Rubicon and Willys) adds a 2.0-inch suspension kit, jack base, ProCal, Pintler wheels (satin black) – all from AEV, plus – 35-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, JPP/Mopar flare extensions, JPP/Mopar spare tire relocation kit, and an AEV plaque. MSRP set for $7,476
The Upcounttry+ (available on Rubicon and Willys) adds an EX front bumper, front skid plate, non-winch cover plate, a swing-gate badge, and a front integrated off-road camera relocation kit, also all from AEV. This package also includes the features of the Upcountry package. MSRP set at $11,599.
The Level II Rubicon upfit (available on Rubicon) adds 7000 series lights, a rear bumper, tire carrier, 2.5-inch DualSport suspension with Bilstein 5100 shocks, a steering damper, Savegre II wheels (satin black), all from AEV, plus Level II badging and a Warn Zeon 10-S winch. This also includes the features found in the UpCountry package, minus the 2.0-suspension. MSRP for Rubicon set at $20,049 and $22,099 for the Rubicon 4xe. All Level II models are plenty capable, offering 14.2 inches of ground clearance, 37.1 inches water fording, 50-degree approach angle, 33-degree breakover angle, and a 43-degree departure angle.
The Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Concept that AEV did a little work on was one thing, but upfitting a limited number of 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 20th Anniversary models with their Level II package was a great way to brag about 37-inch tires and legendary levels of capability. Well, it worked, because they sold out in two hours.
These three new packages are already available for order. Consumers just need to go to their local Jeep dealer to place an order for Jeep models with their chosen package. All 2024 Jeep Wranglers with AEV upfit packages will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, but we don’t hear anything about them being limited this time.
