Four Mopar Concepts from the 2023 Easter Jeep Safari
Every year, Jeep hosts Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. A huge event for Jeepers and manufacturers to come together, consumers can find new gear and equipment to increase the performance of their off-road warriors. It’s also the perfect time for Mopar to show off what a Jeep model can do with the appropriate accessories. Thanks to the growing Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) catalog from Mopar, consumers can find all sorts of accessories to enhance their ride experience in a Jeep. This year, Mopar is bringing electrified power and performance to the Easter Jeep Safari with a total of seven concepts.

The 57th annual Easter Jeep Safari goes on in April 1-9, 2023. Just in case anything else pops up, we’ll only cover four of the seven today.
Jeep Magneto 3.0 Concept
Based on the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, the Magneto concept (above) was built to push performance. Going through three incarnations, the newest benefits of a fully electric powertrain for some serious off-road performance. Starting with power, there are two power settings available – a standard 285 horsepower/273 lb.-ft. of torque setting, or the maximum 650 horsepower/900 lb.-ft. of torque setting. For recharging on-the-go, a two-stage power regeneration mode can drive normally when turned off to avoid interruption, or use enhanced brake regeneration when relying on the electric motor. Third, a new, aggressive hill descent mode can be used in low range mode, offering “one pedal” off-road driving and rock crawling.
New equipment has also been added. This includes Dynatrac 60 front axles (5.38:1 ratio), Dynatrac 80 rear axles (5.38:1 ratio), 20-inch off-road beadlock wheels, 40-inch mud terrain tires, and a custom 3-inch lift. Some convenience has been added, such as easier access with a modified door that sweets back an additional six inches for a larger opening. A new B-pillar that can move 60mm to the rear to make space for a custom anti-roll bar was added, plus, the front fender was pushed back two inches, and the windshield has been pushed back 12 degrees for a ”chopped” roof look. The interior seating upholstery is blue leather with red accent stitching. The rear seats have been removed, and the floor features Rhino-lined in Surf Blue for added functionality and durability.
Jeep Scrambler 392 Concept
Built on the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, the Jeep Scrambler 392 Concept builds on the original Scrambler with more power, offering 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque via a 6.4-liter HEMI® V8 engine. Built with a custom carbon-fiber bodywork, the Scrambler’s new two-door aesthetic makes it easy for the driver and passengers to get in and out of the car, and the windshield has been laid back by 12 degrees for a lower roof, also a “chopped” look. A kit developed by Jeep for the Wrangler and Gladiator allow consumers to new AccuAir air suspension raise the lift of the suspension, ranging from 1.5 inches up to 5.5 inches, able to be controlled via an in-cab controller or through long-range Bluetooth.
Also added to the concept are wide rear flares, updated bodywork, a new front fender flare, and a new carbon-fiber hood. Custom front and rear lightweight bumpers and the new fender flares provide even more ground clearance, allowing for larger tires. The concept currently rides on 40-inch tires wrapped around custom 20-inch rims. The exterior paint job is Sublime green, and the interior comes with custom seats with plaid blue inserts and green stitching.
1978 Jeep Cherokee 4xe Concept
Built off of the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe, this concept pays homage to the original Jeep Cherokee’s performance. Wearing the 1970s-theme multicolor paint scheme, the ’78 Jeep Cherokee 4xe concept comes equipped with a combination of two electric motors, a high-voltage battery pack, and a high-tech 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine (power specs not announced). Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a 4:1 transfer case, this concept rides on 37-inch tires wrapped around custom 17-inch “slotted mag” style wheels. The interior seating comes with a custom interior featuring low-back bucket seats trimmed in leather, rear cargo space for a full-size spare tire, and a four-point safety cage in place of the rear bench seat.
Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Concept
Based on the Rubicon, this concept features the special-run, limited-edition Tuscadero exterior paint color that debuted in 2021. Boasting pink-hued paint with Gloss Black accents, the signature seven-slot grille from the new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 20th Anniversary model makes its appearance on this concept front fascia. Wearing a custom hood graphic with a tone-on-tone print, the interior appearance matches the exterior. The new, adjustable AccuAir air suspension kit has been added to increase the ground clearance. Large, 37-inch tires are wrapped around custom 17-inch high-gloss black American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) Borah wheels. Additional gear includes front and rear bumpers, differential covers, and a Warn Zeon winch.
