Dodge Wins 2023 Kelley Blue Book Brand Image Awards

Ah, the spring! Winter is thawing, but the current weather patterns are just crazy enough to be unpredictable. Except a small cool front coming up, but those with a convertible might enjoy the cool breeze. Also a great time to make use of the colder air if on the raceway. Having recently unleashed the new legend, the 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 is Available Now, the automaker continues to reinforce its image as it turns a new chapter into eMuscle and the Fratzog lineup. For the fifth consecutive year, Dodge has proven its brand image, winning the Kelley Blue Book Brand Image Awards, once again, in 2023.
“We are honored by this recognition from Kelley Blue Book, especially as we double down on our brand’s commitment to performance…The all-new Dodge Hornet GT is shipping now to dealerships, disrupting the status quo of the mainstream CUV segment with class-exclusive and best-in-class performance features.” – Tim Kuniskis, Dodge brand chief executive officer – Stellantis
It’s unclear if Dodge will be releasing Fratzog models under a whole new name, like Jeep and the Wagoneer, but the first electrified vehicle by the muscle car automaker is the 2023 Dodge Hornet. Dodge wasn’t kidding when it said the muscle in muscle car won’t disappear. When looking at the powertrain for this model, there are two versions – the R/T and the GT. The R/T hybrid can generate a segment-leading 288 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque thanks to a 1.3-liter turbocharged all-aluminum engine, optimized with exclusive third-generation MultiAir technology, and a 15.5-kWh lithium-ion battery pack powering a 90-kW electric motor that can deliver 184 lb.-ft. (250 Nm) of torque at 0 rpm. The electric motor powers the rear axle and can offer more than 30 miles of all-electric range (AER).
The reception is wait to be seen, but the excitement over the last Dodge to be powered by gasoline also able to use ethanol is one for the history books. Winning the 2023 Kelley Blue Book Brand Image awards will always know Dodge as the Best Performance Brand for five years, and maybe more. The 2023 Brand Image Awards are based on results of the consumer automotive perception data retrieved during the Kelley Blue Book’s Brand Watch study, tracking more than 12,000 in-market new-vehicle shoppers annually on KBB.com for patterns and the important factors consumers take into consideration when making a car purchase decision. Broken down into six segments, and tracking 12 factors important to shoppers across all segments and models in-market, there are multiple awards every year.
Dodge took home two of them – the Best Performance Brand and Most Refined Brand awards. The Best Performance Brand Award honors the automotive brand (non-truck models) that boasted a single factor: driving performance. Having test driven Dodge vehicles ourselves, we know the ride can be an exhilarating, unforgettable driving experience. Comfort and power are somehow blended into one machine when it comes to a Dodge model. That brings us to the Most Refined Brand Award, based on four factors: driving comfort, interior layout, technology, and prestige/sophistication.
