Dodge Releases SRT Hellcat and R/T Special-edition Models
The Dodge Challenger isn’t the only muscle car model to go out with a bang. After the ““Last Call” special edition models of the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger, the “Last Call” for HEMI®-powered Dodge Challenger and Charger models, and eventually the “Last Call” for V8 Dodge Durango models. Just like the Challenger, the Durango will get several models to send it off before we see the end of the Durango, or a new electric generation. The first of the series was the Dodge Durango SRT 392 AlcHEMI. We’re not sure if this is the second iteration of the series, but Dodge is celebrating 20 years of this HEMI-powered Durango with the 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Silver Bullet and Dodge Durango R/T 20th Anniversary models.
“The HEMI engine has fueled the Dodge Durango for 20 years, and the supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V-8 HEMI engine option transforms the Durango into the most powerful SUV ever…The Dodge Durango and the HEMI engine form a powerful pair, and with this announcement, Dodge continues to deliver HEMI power to enthusiasts and families alike.” – Matt McAlear, Dodge brand CEO – Stellantis
As early as 2004, the 5.7L HEMI engine started to push the power capacity as an option for the Durango SUV. What followed was the SRT Hellcat series to make the Durango powerful enough to take to the track. Paying homage to this evolution of power for the Durango, the 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Silver Bullet is a new limited-production run. Powered by the supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI Hellcat V8 engine, able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and run a quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds, comes with its own selection of exclusive and premium standard features.
Starting with an exterior color of Triple Nickel, the Durango features a Satin Black painted hood for the first time. Grey metallic SRT Hellcat badging, a Satin Black Dodge tail lamp badge, and SRT black exhaust tips bring out the real style of an SRT Dodge car. To handle the heart-throbbing performance of the HEMI, a red six-piston Brembo brake system has been added to the 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Silver Bullet, and it all rides on 20-by-10-inch wheels with a Lights Out finish. As for the interior, the upholstery features Ebony Red Nappa leather seats — another first for the Durango SRT – with an SRT Hellcat logo accented with sepia stitch and embroidered on seatbacks. A suede headliner is matched with a Suede steering wheel defined by its silver and sepia accent stitching that matches with the dual silver and sepia accent stitching found throughout the cabin. The instrument panel comes premium wrapped with forged carbon-fiber interior accents.
The tech also gets a little upgrade with a standard 10.1-inch touchscreen and a Uconnect infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and wireless charging. Consumers can crank up the tunes with a 19-speaker Harman Kardon system with an 825-watt amplifier and feel the breeze with an added sunroof, all standard. A suite of ADAS features also come standard, including Blind-spot Monitoring with Trailer Detect, Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop, and Lane Departure Warning Plus.
Starting at a U.S. manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $113,325 (plus destination fee), the 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Silver Bullet should be available soon.
