Dodge is starting to hit a standstill with its lineup. Like Chrysler, it’s only known for three vehicles- the Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger, and Dodge Durango. There’s always Dodge eMuscle, but we won’t see anything about that electric Dodge lineup until 2024. In an attempt to keep things fresh, Dodge releases new packages now and then, and the most recent is the addition of HEMI Orange. Originally only available on the Challenger and Charger, the option has been extended to the Dodge Durango R/T, available this summer.

“HEMI Orange is a hot option for the Dodge Challenger and Charger, and now we’re expanding its reach by offering the Dodge Durango R/T HEMI Orange…The Durango has a muscle-car attitude, and the eye-catching HEMI Orange appearance embraces the Dodge performance DNA that is our foundation.” – Tim Kuniskis, Dodge brand chief executive officer – Stellantis

Inspired by the original orange color of the iconic HEMI engine, this three-row muscle car is getting the HEMI Orange appearance package, but the exterior isn’t much different. Orange and Gunmetal hood stripes can be found going up the hood of the SUV, with Midnight Grey and orange exterior badging, a Satin Black taillamp painted finish 20-inch Black Noise wheels. Available in four colors – Destroyer Grey, Diamond Black, Octane Red, and White Knuckle – consumers can add a little more of a personal flair to their Durango R/T. Small changes continue in the interior cabin, equipped with SRT front seats and second-row captain’s chairs trimmed in orange stitching, with a monochromatic Dodge Rhombi seatback logo. Orange stitching can be found just about anywhere in the cabin, accenting the instrument panel, door uppers and armrest, console lid, shifter boot, and leather flat-bottom steering wheel.

If this doesn’t sound like enough to warrant an additional $1,995 onto the starting MSRP of $36,995 (plus destination fee), then Dodge also released the HEMI Orange Plus Package and HEMI Orange Tow N Go Package for the 2022 Dodge Duragngo R/T. The HEMI Orange Plus is for those looking for more than small appearance changes. In addition to the exterior and interior styling above, the HEMI Orange Plus adds a power sunroof, 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and advanced safety features. This costs an additional $4,500 added to the starting MSRP. For those who use the SUV for its towing power, the HEMI Orange Tow N Go Package features advanced towing features, 20-inch Lights Out wheels, orange Brembo brake calipers, Bilstein high performance suspension, and additional content. This package is only available on all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicles, and adds $5,095 to the starting MSRP.

Again, available this summer, the Dodge Durango R/T HEMI Orange appearance package, HEMI Orange Plus Package, and HEMI Orange Tow N Go Package options can add minimal or many changes to the 2022 Dodge Durango R/T. Available now, consumers can always get a head start on styling their own Durango R/T by going to the Dodge website to build their own Durango with a large assortment of options.
