Dodge Releases Gold Rush HIP for 2021
Dodge is an automaker known for three things: high horsepower generating engines, Street and Racing Technology (SRT), and High-Impact Legacy colors that when used as a paint job, it’s a color you can feel. Something about a “wow” factor comes with these colors, like ManGo Go or the classic sick yellow (currently unavailable). As popular as these colors are for consumers, and cops waiting to hit their ticket quota, Dodge puts these colors behind bars as it were, only to be released every so often to the public. The 2021 Dodge Challenger will be available with Frostbite, Hellraisin, Sinamon Stick, TorRed, F8 Green, and Go Mango, plus one more golden oldie. The Gold Rush paint job joins the Dodge palette of heritage-inspired paint colors for 2021.

A special paint color, Gold Rush will of course only be available on a selection of 2021 Dodge Challenger models. The following trims may be painted with Gold Rush – Challenger T/A, T/A 392, SRT Hellcat, and SRT Hellcat Redeye. There is one catch with the SRT models – consumers will have to get a model with the Satin Black hand-painted hood, roof, and decklid appearance. No racing stripes on this bad boy! Don’t worry though, because the trims that can come with the Gold Rush also have new options in 2021.
The Dodge T/A 392 will now be available with the Widebody Package, adding all kinds of Demon-inspired looks to a model already blessed with a style from the past. Going all the way back to 1970, the Dodge TransAm model was the height of the automaker’s rich racing history. The Widebody package adds 20-inch “Devil’s Rim” aluminum wheels, extended fender flares that are added to the body, a blacked-out rear lip spoiler, and a scalloped hood. Extra for the T/A model, the Widebody package adds “Air Catcher” headlamps with LED-illuminated T/A logos, a satin black hood and roof wrap, with T/A body-side stripes and T/A decals on the roof, decklid, and spoiler.
Sounds pretty sweet right? All this good stuff in addition to the other great options for the 2021 model year, like 20-inch wheels on the Challenger GT with all-wheel-drive (AWD). Yeah, a Dodge Challenger with AWD sounds right, and consumers can get the same option on the base SXT trim. The Widebody package is of course still available for the SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Redeye models, along with SRT branding on high-performance Brembo brakes for maximum stopping power. These options have also been made for the Dodge Challenger Scat Pack. Oh, and don’t forget, Dodge released a Challenger Scat Pack R/T Widebody option back in 2018, and it continues live on in 2021.
