Chrysler Releases 2023 Chrysler Road Tripper Package for Adventure
Chrysler is known to many as the minivan automaker. The first brand to introduce the minivan to the market, the title is well-earned, and ever since, Chrysler has been helping families make long-lasting memories. Some of us may remember the Chrysler Town & Country minivan (and others, the Dodge Grand Caravan) on our way to and from school, soccer practice, and just about every long road trip that took hours of “are we there yet?” For more than 40 years and six generations, Chrysler has been reshaping the minivan category, and now known as the best-in-class road-trip minivan, Chrysler releases a new special edition of the Pacifica, known as the new 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Road Tripper.
A little bit on the nose, but the nameplate is here to stay for at least a few years. When the Chrysler Pacifica minivan was released to replace Town & Country, it was all the industry could talk about all year. The minivan automaker did it again, with Stow ‘n’ Go seating and compartments, seating and cargo space, a Stow ‘n’ Vac vacuum, and Uconnect Theater entertainment seatbacks. So popular, the minivan instantly introduced a plug-in hybrid, the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. The success continued, and in 2019, broke the lineup into two to introduce the Chrysler Voyager, a less technological-inclined model that was instead redesigned to be a minivan with mobility in mind. Equipped with BraunAbility rear- and side-entry conversions, a wider entryway and more interior space, with an enhanced ramp securement system, and improved ease of entry and exit, this new model was definitely the new version of the minivan for the elderly or wheelchair users on their own or a part of the family road trip. Now, we have the new 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Road Tripper.
“Chrysler has been helping families get together and get away for decades, and the Chrysler Pacifica Road Tripper celebrates our minivan’s role as the perfect vehicle for creating unforgettable family moments on the road. Pacifica is the ultimate ‘Van Life for Real Life’ solution, and makes lives easier with innovative high-tech features, award-winning interior comfort and safety technology…The Pacifica Road Tripper offers a unique package for heading out on the highways and byways with loved ones. Making the Road Tripper even more special is the fact that it was created with our loyal followers on social media, demonstrating the Chrysler brand’s commitment to customer collaboration moving forward.” – Chris Feuell, Chrysler brand CEO – Stellantis
Changing things up again, the Chrysler Road Tripper always has a few features to make it the ultimate road-trip vehicle. With the most standard safety features in its class, more than 115 standard and available, the Road Tripper wouldn’t be complete without the next generation of technology, and the Uconnect 5 infotainment system with a 10.1-inch touchscreen as a standard. Uconnect Theater is still an available add-on with Amazon Fire TV, and the Pacifica has that available all-wheel drive (AWD) for going off-road. Of course, the new 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Road Tripper comes with its own features.
Sporting new badges in Luster Gray outlined in Brilliant Orange, the minivan rides on 20-inch wheels – there is talk about a hybrid option as well with 18-inch wheels, also in Luster Gray – plus a Brilliant Orange Chrysler wing badge logo, semi-gloss Granite Crystal Chrysler wing badges on the front grille and rear liftgate highlighted by Brilliant Orange, and semi-gloss Granite Crystal accents the front fascia and grille trim to stand out. Paint color options for the body include Bright White, Brilliant Black, and Ceramic Gray. With a best-in-class towing capability of up to 3,600 pounds with the included Trailer Tow Group, the Tripper also comes with a roof rack compatible with a range of Mopar carriers and Mopar all-weather floor mats for all kinds of adventures. Lastly, the name was chosen by the next demographic to own a Chrysler minivan, with Chrysler social media channels hosting polls to vote on the new name.
A package add-on, the Road Tripper is available for the gas-powered Pacifica Touring L and Pacifica Touring L Hybrid models. The starting MSRP for the Touring L (with front-wheel drive) at $2,395 (plus destination fee), Touring L AWD at $2,095 (plus destination fee), and on the Pacifica Touring L Hybrid at $1,495 (plus destination fee). With orders starting in the first quarter of 2023, scheduled to arrive in dealerships in the spring, keep up with us on Aventura Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram social media to know when the new 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Road Tripper package becomes available.
