2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid

Powertrain

Returning for 2022, the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid had three trims last we checked: Touring L, Limited, and Pinnacle. The powertrain for the entire lineup is a 3.6-liter V6 engine and a 16 kWh lithium-ion battery powering an electric motor. Although called a “Hybrid”, this vehicle is a plug-in hybrid, able to recharge the battery and drive on that alone. Consumers can expect about 33 miles of electricity power alone before the battery needs to recharge. A total driving range of 566 miles has been recorded with a full tank and 100-percent battery and a miles-per-gallon equivalent for a hybrid vehicle at 84 MPGe, All of this power is directed through an eFlite Si-EVT Transmission system.

Charging

The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid has three methods for recharging the battery. Most consumers will probably recharge at home and can use the standard 120-volt outlet the same a typical electrical appliance can use. When on-the-go, public charging stations, most of which will charge a hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) to 80-percent in a half hour, are often available. Consumers can also get an available 240-volt Level II charger installed in their home.

Exterior Features

Chrysler has mostly placed its focus on the Pacifica Hybrid powertrain in recent years. Adding some flair to the exterior, there are some splash guards, but this isn’t an off-road vehicle. For larger wheels, consumers can drive the Touring L with 17-inch wheels or the Limited and Pinnacle with 18-inch wheels.

Interior Features

The interior cabin is a little different. Due to the placement of the battery, Stow ‘’n Go seating is missing, but Chrysler strives for convenient alternatives with split benches like most vehicles. Leather upholstery can be found on all trims.

Entertainment

The 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid still comes with some great tech options to keep it a worthy competitor among family vehicles everywhere, The standards are Uconnect 5 on a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, followed by a six-speaker system,  Blu-Ray/DVD player system, seatback video screens, and wireless headphones. Uconnect Navigation, Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto, steering wheel mounted controls, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, connected travel and traffic services, HD radio, voice command with Bluetooth, and a FamCam interior camera can be found in most if not all trims. Every new Chrysler vehicle comes with a new enhanced clear air filtration system that is standard on Pacifica and filters 95% of air particulates.

Safety Features and Warranty

In 2022, the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid offers many basic and advanced safety features, including an advanced multistage front airbags system, a driver’s knee airbag and a passengers knee airbag, supplemental front seat mounted side and side-curtain airbags. ParkSense rear and front park assist with stop, a sliding door alert warning, a LATCH-ready child seat anchor system, an occupant classification system, a 360-degree view camera system, and parallel and perpendicular park assist with stop can all be found on trims.

All Chrysler models are covered by a 3-year or 36,000-mile basic warranty, a 5-year or 60,000-mile powertrain warranty, roadside assistance for five years or 100,000 miles, and rust-through coverage for five years or 100,000 miles.
