Chrysler Pacifica Named PARENTS Best Family Car 2021

April 8th, 2021 by

Wow, around the same time we talk about the Chrysler Pacifica being the best vehicle for travelling with pets thanks to all of its pet-friendly features, the very next day there is news about the Pacifica being listed as one of the best family cars in 2021. Now, we’re not saying anyone keeps kids as pets, that’s illegal, folks. It’s just…ironic. Several of the same features we discussed are the reasons why the Pacifica made the PARENTS Best Family Cars 2021 and was crowned the winner, plus all of the nifty new generation of Uconnect 5 that comes standard on all trims.

PARENTS, the leading source for busy, millennial moms, is a trusted publication for families in the market for a new vehicle. Their Best Family Cars 2021 list covered a selection of new-model vehicles including minivans, three-row SUVs, two-row SUVs and family sedans. PARENTS was looking for vehicles with high-tech performance, safety, and convenience features across multiple categories to fit the various needs of a busy family life. Over 50 vehicles were tested by PARENTS experts after testing each for safety. Out of those 50, only 24 passed test drive standards and for car-seat compatibility.

To not only make the list but also win is a great honor, and it’s also the second consecutive year Chrysler Pacifica has been named as a Best Family Cars honoree by PARENTS magazine. The Chrysler Pacifica minivan is probably the most decorated minivan on the market, with over 145 honors and industry accolades since its introduction in 2016.

The family features found on the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica really push the envelope this time. Stow ‘n Go second-row seats and in-floor storage bins return, making the cabin a lot less cluttered when consumers can store toys, notebooks, or even entire school bags. It can also be packed with some ice to act as a cooler or a quick place to store groceries that don’t fit in the trunk, but we can’t imagine how with 32.30 cubic-feet of space behind the second-row, and 140.5 cubic-feet with all rows down. Some trims even come with the Stow ‘n Vac for quick cleanup of messes ala cheerios.

A new FAMCAM interior camera gives parents a clear view of rear occupants without having to turn around. If necessary, there is a zoom in feature in case you want to watch the little one snooze while in a traffic jam. As we mentioned, new tech like Uconnect 5 comes standard on a 10.5-inch touchscreen display, with navigation standard on select trims. Also available is the legendary Uconnect Theater with built-in games and available Wi-Fi. Four new games have been added for 2021 for a more varied age range – concentration, chess, Chrysler Says, and backgammon. Keeping up with the times, the Pacifica also offers segment-first USB Type C ports that can charge devices up to four times faster than a standard USB port.

Stacked with safety features, the Chrysler Pacifica comes with plenty of advanced and automatic features past the base trim. These include blind spot and cross path detection, lane departure warning plus, a ParkView rear back-up camera, ParkSense rear and front park assist with stop, a 360-degree view camera system, and parallel and perpendicular park assist with stop. It makes driving a minivan easier and more enjoyable than ever before. Come find your new Chrysler Pacifica minivan at Aventura Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.
