2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Wins 2024 Adventure Vehicle of the Year Award from Hispanic Motor Press
Jeep® SUVs may be known as the all-American brand in the industry, but that doesn’t mean people of all cultures and different countries don’t recognize the best off-road SUV in the auto market. As the year comes to an end, more publications will be wrapping up their competitions, compiling “Best of” lists, and more and more data can help the average consumer in the market for a new car. The most recent accolade for the Jeep brand, specifically the Jeep Wrangler 4xe, is winning the title of the 2024 Adventure Vehicle of the Year by the Hispanic Motor Press during its 14th annual Hispanic Motor Press (HMP) Awards.

The HMPA Awards consists of a jury panel of more than 20 juror members, a group that brings variety to the panel. Independent Hispanic automotive journalists, content creators, and industry influencers selected by the organization’s advisory board across the country evaluate more than 100 new vehicles during 2023. For the HMPA Awards, jurors judge vehicles on a number of factors, including overall design, comfort, safety, economy, handling, performance, functionality, infotainment integration, interior design, environmental requirements, driver satisfaction, and price.
One of the few automakers in Stellantis introducing plug-in hybrid models at the time, Jeep slowly trickled out its 4xe models, going global with the Jeep Wrangler 4xe and making history. For the new model year, the new 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe features greater capability, powered by a 2.0-liter I4 DOHC DI Turbo PHEV engine, able to generate 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Offering a 2:72:1 Selec-Trac Full-time 4WD system standard, the Rubicon trim replaces this for a 4:1 Tock-Trac Heavy-Duty Full-time 4WD system. The new model year delivers a new standard to the 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe, a ll-float Dana rear axle, and consumers can find an available factory-installed 8,000-pound-capacity Warn winch as an add-on option.
New technology has been added for 2024, featuring the latest generation of the Uconnect infotainment system, Uconnect 5, on a 12.3-inch touchscreen. A standard lineup consists of Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto capabilities, integrated voice command, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspotꝉ, and HD Radio across the lineup. Advanced safety features are the norm in the auto industry, and the Jeep Wrangler 4xe offers blind spot and cross-path detection, full-speed forward-collision warning plus, a ParkSense rear park-assist system, and adaptive cruise control with stop on various trims.
The 4xe lineup has been growing, recently releasing the Grand Cherokee 4xe. With plans to electrify every model in the lineup, Jeep has a few more to go.
