2021 Chrysler Pacifica Named Best New Family Car by Good Housekeeping

April 29th, 2020 by

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) may have paused production of vehicles for the moment, but that won’t stop the awards from coming. An automobile group that wins awards all-year-round, one automaker brand within the umbrella is known for its minivan, the Chrysler Pacifica. A ground-breaking vehicle that changed the way the auto market looks at the family van, the Pacifica was also quickly followed by a plug-in hybrid variant of the vehicle. The first hybrid minivan of its kind, the 2020 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid was named the Best Eco Pick and Award Winner by PARENTS Magazine in early April 2020. Before the month is over, the original Chrysler Pacifica is named the 2020 Best New Family Car award in the minivan category by Good Housekeeping.

The Good Housekeeping Institute (GHI) is the foremost consumer product-evaluation laboratory in the country, and part of Hearst Digital Media, Good Housekeeping also puts out an American women’s magazine that features articles about women’s interests, product testing by The Good Housekeeping Institute, recipes, diet, and health, and literary articles. Amongst the products tested are automobiles, and in partnership with Car and Driver, Good Housekeeping printed a full list of winners in the May 2020 print edition of its magazine, available on newsstands and online.

Although auto shows have been cancelled for 2020 indefinitely, there was one auto show that gave the Chrysler Pacifica a chance to shine. It was the 2020 Chicago Auto Show, having taken place in February 2020, and shined the spotlight on the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica. The most-awarded minivan over the past four years, the Chrysler Pacifica sits at the top with 15 other best-in-class vehicles listed in the magazine.

New for 2021, the Chrysler Pacifica minivan will be offering consumers a chance for even more control behind the wheel with a new all-wheel drive (AWD) system. Delivering enhanced traction in a wide range of driving and road conditions, the Chrysler Pacifica is quickly becoming America’s most capable minivan. Also new for the 2021 model year, the Pacifica will offer the most standard safety features in the industry, with 97 standard and 14 new-as-standard safety features. Technology is also a big plus for the Chrysler Pacifica, with an all-new 10.1-inch touchscreen for 2021, with the new Uconnect 5 infotainment system. The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica will be the first North American FCA vehicle that offers Uconnect 5, but it won’t be the last.

A new top-of-the-line Pacifica Pinnacle™ model will also be joining the lineup for 2021, with a luxurious interior that sets this minivan apart from the competition. With Caramel Nappa leather seats, quilted seat side bolsters, and perforated seat inserts and seatbacks on all three rows, whether the driver or a passenger, comfort won’t be too far away. Plus, the second row comes with captain’s chairs with a unique set of two fully movable lumbar comfort pillows for those long road trip naps.

Although production is currently paused, families have a lot to look forward to when the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica minivan starts hitting dealership lots. If you can’t wait, contact us at Aventura Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram about test driving a Chrysler Pacifica minivan today.
