What’s New for the 2025 Jeep Wrangler

We’re entering the fourth and final quarter of the year next month (October 2024), and automakers are quick to release their new 2025 models before we hit the new year. Lots of specs are coming out, but a lot of models don’t seem to be getting much of an update for the 2025 model year. A new paint job, maybe a new feature or function, and sometimes nothing new pops up. As for the 2025 Jeep Wrangler, some small changes have been added to increase the capability and comfort of this iconic SUV.
What’s New for 2025?
For 2025, the Jeep Wrangler made power locks and power windows the new standard for all 2025 Wrangler trims. That’s good news for consumers who want a little extra off-road capability. Also new for 2025, a ‘41 exterior paint color, military olive has been added. For consumers who like the interior cabin of their Jeep to be a little aired out before getting behind the wheel, a new Active Cabin Ventilation to pre-ventilate the cabin via a mobile app has been added as an available feature.
Power
No other new features have been added according to the PR, so we’re assuming the powertrain options remain the same. These include the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, equipped with stop/start technology for conserving fuel economy, and able to generate 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, is standard for the Sport, Sport S, Willys, Rubicon, and Rubicon X. Still outfitted with seven models, that means the available 2.0L Turbo engine, equipped with stop/start technology, and able to generate 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque is still the standard for the Sahara (four-door only) trim. That leaves the Rubicon 392, powered by the 6.4-liter V8 SRT® HEMI® engine equipped with a multi-displacement system (MDS) for conserving fuel economy, and able to generate a best-in-class horsepower of 470 and best-in-class 470 lb-ft of torque.
As for off-road capability, a Command-Trac® part-time 4×4 system was standard on the first three trims in 2024, and we expect the same in 2025. This offered a 2.72:1 low range for rock crawling and neutral for available flat towing. Only the Rubicon and Rubicon X trims came equipped with a Rock-Trac heavy-duty part-time 4×4 system, offering a 4:1 low-gear ratio that delivers a Best-in-Class 100:1 crawl ratio.
Style
Aside from the new paint job and ventilation function, no new features for the exterior or interior have been mentioned. That’s okay, because the Jeep Wrangler added a lot of standard features in recent years, including heated exterior mirrors, automatic headlamps (past the base trim), front fog lamps (LED past Willys trim), solar control glass, front door tinted glass, tinted windshield glass, windshield with Corning ® Gorilla ® glass, and can add side steps by Mopar. There’s also a premium black Sunrider® soft top that is standard on the first five trims, replaced by a hard top for the Rubicon X and Rubicon 392 trims. Not a bad start, and consumers can get automatic high beam headlamp-control, front LED fog lamps, LED tail lamps, and LED premium reflector headlamps (available) past the base Sport trim. Inside, heated front seats are available past the trim, with automatic temperature control is available on the Sport S and Willys trim, standard on other trims. Cloth upholstery is the standard seating trim, changed to Nappa leather in the Rubicon X trim, whereas McKinley leather is available for the Sahara trim.
Tech
The tech also get an upgrade in 2024, starting with a 12.3-inch touchscreen display. This setup also came with a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto capability, hands-free phone and audio commands, Jeep connected services (with trial), SiriusXM 360L (with trial), SiriusXM Satellite Radio (with trial), and steering wheel-mounted audio controls, all standard. Uconnect 5 is also standard on the first five trims, followed by Uconnect 5 NAV on the Rubicon X and Rubicon 392 trims.
No wonder there isn’t a lot of new features being added. Jeep put everything a consumer could want into the 2024 Jeep Wrangler, and we expect the 2025 Jeep Wrangler will come with all the same goodies. Look for a new Jeep Wrangler at Aventura Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram today.
