The Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid and Electrify Expo 2023

First announced in 2016, the minivan automaker known as Chrysler discontinued its Town & Country model and replaced it with the new and shiny Chrysler Pacifica minivan. Outfitted with the automaker’s iconic Stow ‘n’ Go seating, this new minivan also came with modern technology and new engineering that made this minivan a legend for the automaker. The Chrysler Pacifica has become the most awarded minivan over the last six years with more than 170 honors and industry accolades. It’s success led to Chrysler launching a plug-in hybrid version of the Pacifica. During this year’s Electrify Expo, Chrysler has plans to show up during its first round.
Electrify Expo
Known as North America’s largest e-mobility festival, the Electrify Expo takes place in several locations every year, with over 1 million square feet dedicated to the festival. Focused on battery-electric vehicles (BEV) and other electrified mobility options, the Electrify Expo has been known to attract the most BEV-curious consumers. Held to give consumers a better look at BEVs, the models available, and hold test drive areas, consumers can try a BEV for the first time right there at the festival. More than 70 BEVs are expected to show up this year.
The first round of the Electrify Expo will take place at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California until May 21, 2023. Lasting from May 19-21, 2023, on Friday, the event will hold on Industry Day, followed by public days that Saturday and Sunday. For those of us in South Florida, the Electrify Expo will take place from October 14-15, 2023 at the Miami Dade Fairgrounds in Miami, Florida.
Chrysler
This will be the second year-in-a-row for Chrysler attending the Electrify Expo. For now, it may just be for the first round, but the automaker intends to host overall Chrysler brand display, a lineup consisting of three models – the Pacifica minivan, Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid minivan, and 300 sedan. The exhibit space will put the spotlight on a modified version of the Chrysler Pacifica plug-in hybrid with a little more style, such as 22-inch wheels, front and rear spoilers, and more. It’s all courtesy of VANkulture, an online community that promotes the family aspect and multi-functionality of minivans modified for unique situations. A great example of this is the new Calm Cabin package Chrysler released earlier this year.
Matching the focus of the Electrify Expo to offer e-curious consumers a chance to get behind the wheel, attendees of the Electrify Expo in Long Beach, California will be able to experience the Chrysler Pacifica plug-in hybrid in ride-alongs and test driving. A plug-in, this minivan has an all-electric range (AER) of more than 30 miles, with a total range of more than 500 miles with a fully charged battery and full tank of gas for the engine component, a specially modified version of the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 gasoline engine. Offering more than 80 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe), this minivan offers consumers a lot more range for the dollar. With how much gas prices are known to fluctuate, that can eventually save consumers a nice bit of cash.
