Since its inception, in 1986, the Jeep Wrangler has become an icon among many loyal owners. There’s a reason for this, because the Wrangler Sport, with its body on frame construction and off-road capability and convertible top, isn’t just transportation, it’s fun, too.
With its modern styling and the capability of carrying five passengers instead of four, the Kia Sorento L is priced a little higher than the base Wrangler. Offered as a front wheel drive, with no available four-wheel drive, as an SUV, the Kia Sorento is not built for off-roading.
The 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sport is powered by a Pentastar 3.6-liter, V6 engine that turns out 285 horsepower and 260-pound feet of torque. The four-wheel drive Wrangler transfers its engine power through a six- speed manual transmission. The powerful engine gets an average of 17 MPG in the city and 21 MPG on the highway.
In comparison to the Wrangler, the Kia Sorento is equipped with a smaller engine and is not equipped with four-wheel drive, nor is that an optional feature for a buyer to add-on. Its 2.4-liter, 4-cylinder generates 185-horsepower and 178 lb.-ft. of torque. With a smaller engine, the Sorento has a fuel economy of 21 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway.

The 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sport is priced at $23,895 and comes with a 36,000-mile or 3-year limited warranty, 60,000-mile or 5-year powertrain warranty and 5 years or 100,000 miles of roadside assistance.
The 2016 Kia Sorento L is priced slightly higher at $25,100. Kias are backed by a 10-year or 100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty and a 5-year or 60,000-mile limited basic warranty.There is also five years or 60,000 miles of roadside assistance.
