Stellantis Starts New CPO Go Program for Pre-Owned Vehicles

Maybe it’s the nostalgia, but many consumers are known to hold onto their cars for much longer than what was thought to be the norm. Some of us are driving cars well over ten years old, and that’s not a bad thing, especially when your favorite automaker has a Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle (CPOV) program. There are the consumers who buy or lease new vehicles, and there are consumers who don’t mind a pre-owned vehicle and know the value some vehicles can retain for years to come. That’s why Stellantis is opening a new CPOV program in North America called CPO Go.
“With more buyers keeping their vehicles longer, our new extended offering allows our owners an added degree of confidence when purchasing one of our certified pre-owned Chrysler, Dodge, FIAT, Jeep or Ram brand vehicles…Our CPO Go program is extremely competitive in the marketplace, offering certified warranty upgrades that will cover the certified pre-owned vehicle up to nine years after original in-service date.” – Jeff Kommor, head of U.S. sales for FCA
This is for those consumers who keep their vehicle for more than five years before browsing the market once more. CPO Go caters to consumers who wish to purchase a certified Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep®, Ram or FIAT vehicle that is six to 10 model years old. These vehicles will also have quite a high number of miles already on it, from 75,001 and 120,000 miles. Most warranties wouldn’t cover anything past that, but that’s where programs like CPO Go come in. Every CPO Go certified vehicle by Stellantis comes with its own factory three-month/3,000-mile Mopar maximum care limited warranty. If the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study (IQS) it to be believed, then 90 days is plenty enough time for consumers to figure out how well their vehicle is holding up in terms of features, drive comfort and control, interior, and powertrain.
Before the new extended warranty is applied, each CPO Go vehicles needs to pass a rigorous 125-point inspection. Once cleared, the new extended three-month/3,000-mile Mopar maximum care limited warranty covers all kinds of mechanical coverage (more than 5,000 parts) and starts with a low $100 deductible. Mopar isn’t just the mechanic for repairs, either. Every CPO Go model goes through a reconditioning process using authentic Mopar parts. Known as an aftermarket store for upgrading vehicles, these CPO Go vehicles get a small upgrade to make for long-lasting friendships between consumers and their vehicle.
The extended warranty is just a piece of the pie for a CPO Go and the benefits and protection included. All CPO Go vehicles also come with a CARFAX Vehicle History Report to give consumers peace of mind of any DMV-reported incidents for the vehicle and if it has had any previous repairs done, usually something major. If things aren’t working out, the CARFAX Buyback Guarantee lasts for one year. If any errors were to occur when on the road, CPO Go owners also get 24-Hour Towing/Roadside Assistance, called “24-hour Sign-and-Go” for flat-tire service, gas delivery, battery-jump assistance, lockout service, and towing service, with a charge of up to $100 per occurrence.
Like some insurance plans, a CPO Go Stellantis vehicle also comes with a car rental allowance in case a CPO Go vehicles does find itself in the shop for mechanical repairs or even simple maintenance. Covering up to $45 per day/up to 5 days, and with these modern times, taxi reimbursement is also available – unclear if this includes Lyft/Uber but who else calls a regular taxi, anymore? Then, to spruce up the entertainment a bit, Stellantis adds a three-month Trial Subscription for SiriusXM Guardian and Satellite Radios to every CPO Go vehicle.
This is the kind of coverage every pre-owned vehicle should get. Just because they’re a little old doesn’t mean they’re without value. Look for Stellantis CPO Go vehicles in the near future or purchase a new vehicle at Aventura Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.
