Special Edition 2017 Ram Trucks
When compared with other brands, Ram trucks have possibly the most special edition trims available. From the light duty Ram 1500 to the heavy duty Ram 3500, everyone gets a new look. It seems like a special edition comes out every year, and if Mopar is involved, watch out! Let’s talk about what’s new and what’s different in these special edition Ram trucks.
Ram 1500 
The absolute favorite of the Ram lineup, the light duty Ram 1500 has more special edition trims than any other Ram truck model. The newest addition to the lineup is the 2017 Ram 1500 Sport Copper, which was shown off at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show.
It has a copper body paint job, blacked-out badges, and an upgraded interior (also all black), and features an upgraded Alpine nine-speaker sound system – starting MSRP of $46,950.
Also covered in an orange hue is the 2017 Ram 1500 Ignition Orange. This new trim is powered by a 395-hp 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine and dons a bright orange paint job. The interior in the Ignition Orange has also been upgraded with premium cloth high-back bucket seats and colors to contrast the bright body paint.
Two Ram 1500 Rebel special editions have also been added to the lineup, the Ram Rebel Black and Ram Rebel Mojave Sand. The former, as the name states, is all black – black wheels, black brush guard, black decals, and a black interior with leather-trimmed, heated seats. The MSRP starts at $42,335. The Ram Rebel Mojave Sand comes in a limited edition sandy exterior color, has a sport hood decal, and has a black interior.
Lastly is the Ram 1500 Night, a classic. It was also recently added onto the 2017 Ram 2500 and 3500, so we’ll discuss it in more detail below. Just know that the 1500 version comes with Mopar performance parts.
Ram 2500 and 3500
Also having debuted at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show with the Ram 1500 Sport Copper, the heavy duty 2500 and 3500 Ram trucks are getting a well-known special edition – Ram Night. The Night package features blacked-out wheels, a sharper-looking black grille, and several kinds of badges – a “RAM” head grille badge, Ram Heavy Duty door badges (2500 or 3500 only), a 4×4 tailgate badge (if applicable), and powertrain door badges. 
The interior includes luxury features such as heated cloth or vinyl 10-way adjustable bucket seats and convenient features like automatic dual-zone climate/temperature control, for starters. The heavy-duty Night editions should be available soon and they will have a starting MSRP of $46,840.
