Ram Unveils the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO
Here it is, the moment many truck fans have been waiting for. The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO is finally being unveiled to the world, and we’re definitely sinking our teeth into what it has to offer. The “RHO” nameplate could stand for “Rebel High Output”, “Ram High Output” or maybe even “RHINO”. There’s no definitive description for the acronym just yet, but we believe it’s another play on words like the Ram 1500 TRX, or T-Rex. Called the Apex Predator of the truck world, the Ram 1500 TRX has been discontinued, but the 1500 RHO is set up to be its successor. Like the many Dodge SRT Hellcat and Hellcat Redeye trims inspired by the original Dodge SRT Demon, the 1500 RHO is inspired by the 1500 TRX, and has the power to prove it.
Power
A new theme popping up in many Stellantis brand powertrains is a multi-power setup. Many powertrains are coming out with two versions – a Standard Output (S.O.) type and a High Output (H.O.) type. For the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO, they went straight to the H.O. setup. Powered by an H.O. version of Stellantis’ Hurricane engine, a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six is under the hood, capable of producing 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque. Able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds and able to run a quarter-mile in 13.1 seconds at 105 mph, it’s a pretty stellar start for the new pickup truck.
The 1500 RHO continues to boast off-road capability with a fortified frame, a long-travel suspension with forged aluminum front control arms, adaptive Bilstein dampers, a BorgWarner 48-13 full-time active transfer case, Dana 60 rear axle with full-floating axle shafts, a rear electronic differential, and an axle hop damper. Riding on 18-inch beadlock wheels wrapped in 35-inch tires, the Ram 1500 RHO offers a low range of 2.64:1, and a ground clearance up to 11.8 inches. Speaking of which, the RHO has an approach angle of 31 degrees, a breakover angle of 22 degrees, a departure angle of 25 degrees, and can handle water fording up to a depth of 32 inches. Style
Enough about the power, let’s talk style. Mark Trostle, head of Ram exterior design, said they changed the look of the front fascia with a higher placement of the RAM badge for a more “sinister face quality”. Built with a wide-body and fender flares, the Ram 1500 RHO takes some cues from the TRX, but keeps the classic look of the 1500 still going strong. A new unique hood also dons the front of the car with LED headlights, steel bumpers, oversized tow hooks, and skid plates to complete the look. Full-length rock rails are also available, and the rear comes with a new low-restriction dual exhaust system with five-inch tips.
Right at the start, the interior comes with 12-way power-adjustable leather front seats with heating, ventilation, and available massaging functions. Getting more digital, the RHO offers more than 30 inches of combined screens, including a standard 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a newly available 14.5-inch vertically oriented touchscreen running the fifth-generation Uconnect system, and a 10-inch front passenger screen to give the front passenger more control and entertainment options besides playing navigator and DJ.
To really spice things up, a new comprehensive RHO Equipment package is available that adds a 360-degree camera system, a digital rearview mirror, dual wireless charging pads, massaging front seats, heated and ventilated rear outboard seats, a head-up display, power-adjustable pedals with memory settings, and a 19-speaker 900-watt Harman Kardon stereo system. The acronym RHO becomes more believable that it could stand for “Rhino” with an image of a rhinoceros on the center console, along with the VIN number.

The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO has a starting price of $69,995 (plus destination fee). It’s considerably less than the 2024 Ram 1500 TRX, and the same will be true for the rest of the lineup. According to Broderdorf, Ram Trucks are dropping by $4,000 to $10,000 depending on trim. Best of all, consumers can start putting in orders for the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO right now. Set to be released during the third quarter of 2024, there’s only one thing to do.
