Ram Truck Releases New Lunar Edition for Power Wagon and Rebel HD Models
Ram Truck has come a long way since its origins with muscle car automaker Dodge as Dodge Ram. An expansive lineup of pickup trucks shook the industry and pushed the genre of pickup trucks beyond the standard work truck with the likes of the Ram 1500 Rebel and the Ram 1500 TRX. With the recent loss of the TRX, the RHO comes in swinging, also for the 1500. Large pickup trucks need love, too, and the Ram Power Wagon and Rebel HD pickup trucks get to shine with the new special-edition Lunar package. Starting in October 2024, the new Lunar edition highlights the extended capability a Ram Heavy Duty (HD) truck can provide.

Both, the Ram Power Wagon and Rebel HD pickup trucks come with a new limited exterior Ceramic Grey paint job with exclusive gloss black Lunar vinyl body graphics that adorn the vehicle. Included with this new appearance package are body-color badging, premium LED headlights and taillights, tow mirrors, and 17-inch black wheels for the Power Wagon, 20-inch black wheels for the Rebel. Wrapped in 33-inch tires, this new package also adds to the capability to handle rough terrain. To really rub it in, the Power Wagon comes with a factory 2-inch lift for additional performance off road.
An appearance package wouldn’t be complete without the interior also getting in on the action. Black leather upholstery comes with Surf Blue stitching; the door, instrument panel and console are highlight with Twill Film accents reminiscent of the Ram TRX, and the center console comes with a special die cast metal badge with Brushed metal Satin Chrome lettering of the respective model, “Power Wagon” or “Rebel”. Sounds pretty fancy. Oh, and wireless charging is also included with this special edition, making it the first time for the Power Wagon and Rebel HD models to feature this tech.
While V8 HEMI® engines are still kicking, the Ram Power Wagon Lunar edition is powered by the 6.4L HEMI® V8 engine, able to generate 410 horsepower and 429 lb.-ft. of torque. Built on the most off-road capable pickup available in the market today, Ram Truck continues to push the capability of its pickup truck lineup. When we think of the Ram HD series, we definitely think of work trucks, but the Lunar Edition shows us they can do a lot more with front and rear locking differentials, and a sway bar disconnect system to help gain traction in tough road conditions, or non-road conditions for that matter.
Thinks kind of power also benefits from the torque, with an exclusive, 12k-pound Warn winch factory-installed in the front bumper, the Ram Power Wagon Lunar Edition has a towing capacity up to 10,610 pounds. That’s more than enough to rescue a stranded Lunar Rover Moon Buggy, hence where the Lunar special edition moniker gets its inspiration. The Ram Rebel HD Lunar edition comes with the 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel under the hood, able to generate 370 horsepower and 850 lb.-ft. of torque, and able to offer a towing capacity of 14,900 pounds, and payload rating of 1,960 pounds.
