The 2024 Ram 1500 was recently released, and the pickup truck automaker already wants to debut the 2025 Ram 1500. Possibly a new generation, or just an upgraded pickup truck, a lot of information about the 2025 Ram 1500 light-duty pickup truck is starting to surface. Check out some of the highlights below.
Powertrain Options
The standard engine on the 2024 Ram 1500 is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, optimized with eTorque for added torque to the standard 269 lb-ft output, plus a maximum horsepower of 305. A 3.0-liter Hurricane I6 engine is available, able to generate 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque; this is also available as a high-output engine, able to generate 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque. Truck-Specific Features
When it comes to driving the new 2025 Ram 1500, five drive modes will be available to choose from to give the consumer a range of capabilities in various driving conditions, with Normal, Tow, Snow, Sport, and Off-Road mode to optimize performance in such situations. Towing is easier with available Trailer Auto Hitch Assist, basically doing all the work for the driver. Consumers can also add greater visibility when towing with telescopic trailer tow mirrors. Two available 110-volt power outlets are available for charging equipment whether the truck is on or off, with a maximum available 2-kilowatt inverter option for emergency situations.
All-new Tungsten Trim
The exterior look of the 2025 Ram 1500 changes with a new Tungstrim being added to the lineup. Built on the same high-strength steel frame, it rides on 22-inch aluminum wheels, and features premium leather 24-way power front seats with heat, cooling, and memory. A world-class KlipschĀ® Reference Premiere Audio System system is available, and this is just what Ram has teased so far.
Futuristic Interior
The interior of the 2025 Ram 1500 really takes things up a notch, offering over 50 inches of digital screens, including a total of 24 inches for touchscreen displays, an available 14.5-inch UconnectĀ® touchscreen, available 12-inch Driver Information Digital Cluster Display, and an available 10.25-inch Passenger Interactive Display for control over things like entertainment and the Uconnect infotainment system. Featuring the most powerful available audio system in Its Class, consumers can opt for a 23-speaker KlipschĀ® Reference Premiere Audio System.
Class-exclusive wireless charging pads have been added, able to dock two at devices once, but this is just the start of convenience. A powered tailgate is also available, and Ram has gone digital with the digital smartphone key. Compatible with the iPhoneĀ® and Apple WatchĀ®, Ram seems to favor the tech giant, making digital keys shareable amongst AppleĀ® devices.
Advanced Safety
The 2025 Ram 1500 will of course offer a strong suite of advanced safety features available. These include ParkSense automated parking to make it easier to difficult parking spots for both parallel and perpendicular parking, evasive steer assist that will attempt to change lanes in the case of a possible frontal collision (powered by a Forward Collision Warning System), an intersection collision assist system that mitigates a collision with emergency braking, and a drowsy driver detection system that detects if the driver is impaired and suggests rest with an alert.
