Jeep Released a Gladiator Texas Trail Model Just for Texas
Jeep announced the Wrangler 392 Rubicon Final Edition not too long ago (March 2024), and just before that, the off-road automaker snuck one by us. Maybe because it’s a Texas-only model, but the Jeep Gladiator got its first Texas Trail edition for the new 2024 Jeep Gladiator based on the Gladiator Sport S trim. Known as the largest truck market in the country, the Texas Trail is launching exclusively for the state of Texas to honor its faithful consumer base. We wonder if you actually have to be a citizen of Texas or just go to Texas to buy it.

Orders can be taken now – in the state of Texas – with models ready to hit dealership lots in May 2024. With a starting MSRP of $48,090 (plus destination fee), it’s a lot more affordable than the majority of high-tier Jeep models. Also paying homage to the largest Gladiator market in the country – also Texas – the 2024 Jeep Gladiator Texas Trail gets a solid start on off-road action with the Jeep Command-Trac 4×4 part-time system designed with a two-speed transfer case with a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio and 17-inch black-painted aluminum wheels wrapped in 32-inch mud-terrain tires.
The Texas Trail also includes the following standard equipment, including the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine, able to generate 285 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission making up the powertrain. For easy access without fumbling for keys, the Texas Trail features keyless entry and a remote start system for those who like to stay a little more connected to their Jeep Gladiator. Featuring a body-color hardtop, the Gladiator Texas Trail comes with power-heated mirrors and steel rock rails. The interior gets an upgrade with black McKinley-trimmed seats, plus heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. Going for the best tech, the Texas Trail comes equipped with a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, and a universal garage door opener. Some advanced safety features have also been added, including side-curtain airbags for the first and second rows, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision warning.
A little nod to the early days of Texas, the 2024 Jeep Gladiator Texas Trail features a unique Texas Trail hood and tailgate decals with the year 1836 inscribed to pay homage to the Texas Declaration of Independence. Like every Jeep Gladiator, the Texas Trail can’t show its face unless it’s wearing a Trail Rated badge. This is the mark of a Jeep vehicle that can perform in a variety of challenging off-road conditions: traction, ground clearance, maneuverability, articulation and water fording. For a little personalization, the Gladiator Texas Trail is available in seven colors: black, Bright White, Granite Crystal, Hydro Blue, Firecracker Red, High Velocity and Anvil.
