Jeep and Midland Radio Release Co-branded Walkie Talkies

Jeepers know the potential of a Jeep SUV. Going off road and trekking the trails are a great way to spend a day out in the woods. Many consumers love the outdoors and getting a breath of fresh air,and now that summer is on the way, there will be plenty of time to spend some time outdoors, go camping to favorite campgrounds – or explore new ones – and what better way than to do that from the comfort of a Jeep? For those that like to explore, but don’t want to get too lost from home, aside from trail markers, another great way to keep in touch with home base is to use a walkie-talkie radio. That’s why the Jeep® brand collaborated with Midland Radio to create co-branded walkie talkies.
“When the leading automotive manufacturer brand of off-road vehicles chooses and trusts you as their go-to off-road communication equipment, you are doing something right…We are excited to partner with the Jeep brand and to announce the T77VP5J. We aim to enhance all Jeep enthusiasts’ experiences by providing the best possible communication while hitting the trails in their Jeep 4×4 vehicles.” – Dan Schwartz, CEO of Midland Radio
Why partner up with Midland Radio? Known as the leader in two-way radio communication technology, Midland Radio has been around for over 50 years, pioneering two-way radio technology and introducing the likes of CB radio and 14-channel FRS radio technology to the market. The leading leading supplier of two-way radios and weather alert radios for the modern world, Midland Radio is also known as the innovator in emergency radio technology. Setup in Kansas City as for its headquarters, that must be where the inspiration for the latter – in June 2022, four tornadoes made touchdown in Kansas City at once. Wow!
The new relationship between Midland Radio and Jeep spawned the T77VP5J Jeep X-Talker Extreme Dual Pack, the first of many Jeep-branded Midland products set for release. Based off of one of Midland’s long-time customer favorite walkie talkies, the T71 license-free handheld, this new Jeep X-Talker Extreme Dual Pack has a range of up to 38 miles, offering contact over 36 channels with crisp communication, plus Weather Alert Radio with Weather Scan technology. Even in the most severe weather, users can venture far and wide and not worry about losing contact with others. Just make sure you know the path back home – this writer got lost in the Glacier Mountain National Park in May for two hours. Nothing like getting lost in Montana…surrounded by bears. Built with a micro-USB charging port, consumers can easily charge up the walkie talkie in the vehicle or with a power brick for portable on-the-go charging.
Bearing the Jeep brand logo, this is a first for Midland Radio, and the T77VP5J is blazing the path for more products to be released as a part of the popular MicroMobile line. The T77VP5J Jeep X-Talker Extreme Dual Pack is currently available for a price of $134.99, sold by Midland and approved retailers. Looking for a Jeep to go with your walkie talkie?
