Introducing the New 2022 Ram ProMaster

September 1st, 2021 by

Ram Truck has really been upgrading its vehicles as of late, and although most of those are pickup trucks, these models have come a long way from the simple work truck. Of course, that’s why the Ram1500 Classic is still around and continues to be a popular choice. For those who like Ram but need more than a pickup truck cab can offer, there are Ram vans like the ProMaster and ProMaster City. Recently signing off as the official van of the Ram BandVan Back to Live Tour, the ProMaster is not only the perfect choice for a band on the go. The 2022 Ram ProMaster has changed the standards for a hardworking Class 2 full-size van with new upgrades and additions to bring it to the next level.

“Ram ProMaster continues to evolve as we listen and respond to customer input, and delivers an unmatched combination of advanced connectivity, interior comfort, refinement and safety features…Ram Commercial continues to focus solely on building the best trucks and commercial vans that allow us to deliver confidence for hardworking people every day, no matter their line of work.” – Mike Koval Jr., Ram Brand Chief Executive Officer – Stellantis

Power to Change

Let’s start with the new build. The new Ram ProMaster is finally available with a Crew Van configuration that is capable of carrying up to three passengers in the second row. It can help to have an extra hand, or two, especially when the driver already has their hands full keeping everyone in the van safe and on their way to the next destination.

Powering this new 2022 ProMaster is the next-generation 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, paired with a segment-exclusive TorqueFlite nine-speed automatic transmission. For driving in a variety of conditions, all models also come with a class-exclusive front-wheel-drive system. The Ram ProMaster also features a towing capability of up to 6,910 pounds and a best-in-class 4,680 pounds of payload. Joining the Stellantis plan to go green, a battery-electric-powered ProMaster will debut in 2023.

Having a van that can handle various road conditions is great, and when you throw advanced safety features into the mix, it’s a great deal. Found standard on every model are the following safety features: Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning, post collision braking, Drowsiness Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, rear camera with dynamic gridlines, push-button starter, and an electric parking brake. For consumers who like a little more safety when riding around in a van, the 2022 Ram ProMaster also offers Active Driving Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Intelligent Speed Assist, Lane Keep Assist, 360-degree Surround View camera, front parking sensors, plus auto high-beams and cornering function fog lamps to keep visibility clear at all times.

Found standard in every model is the all-new Uconnect 5 system. Now that is a huge plus! Featuring Wi-Fi capability, the system also comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, integrated Alexa In-Vehicle Assistant, and simultaneous connectivity for two Bluetooth-enabled phones. These can all be controlled through the standard 7-inch touchscreen, with a 10-inch Uconnect touchscreen and wireless phone charger available. Keeping driver and vehicle connected, the 2022 Ram ProMaster also features the new Ram Telematics Module. This system helps the driver reduce fuel costs, improve route efficiency, and promotes safe driving via vehicle tracking and driver behavior. Ram Telematics also offers real-time vehicle diagnostics and performance data, Firmware Over the Air (FOTA) updates, 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, Alexa & Google Home-to-Vehicle Assistant. and Apps Over the Air (AOTA).

A new standard for cargo vans, the 2022 Ram ProMaster is going to brim up plenty of competition. Available in 18 configurations, consumers have plenty of choices with two roof heights, three wheelbases, and four vehicle lengths: of 8-ft, 10-ft, 12-ft and 13.5-ft. Available by the end of 2021, be sure to look for the 2022 Ram ProMaster on Aventura Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram lots.
