FCA Releases 35th Anniversary Special Edition for Grand Caravan, Pacifica, and Pacifica Hybrid

May 29th, 2019 by

Ah, to think it’s really been 35 years that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has been leading the minivan game with the likes of the Dodge Grand Caravan. Can anyone really think of a childhood memory that doesn’t at least involve this family minivan at some point? And to think only a few years ago, Fiat Chrysler outdid themselves and reinvented the minivan when they came out with the Chrysler Pacifica, quickly followed by the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. To celebrate, the FCA US LLC has announced Chrysler Pacifica, Pacifica Hybrid and Dodge Grand Caravan 35th Anniversary Edition models and their pricing. This summer, 2019, these 35th Anniversary Edition models will be arriving in dealerships.

Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid 35th Anniversary Edition

Although still young in the game, the Chrysler Pacifica has been a game-changer for the automaker since its release. The most awarded minivan of the past three years with more than 100 awards, the minivan segment will never be the same. The Chrysler Pacifica even introduced nearly 40 new minivan-first features, along with the first plug-in hybrid minivan powertrain. To set it apart from the rest of the lineup, the 35th Anniversary Edition is available on the Pacifica Touring L (gas/hybrid), Touring L Plus and Limited (gas/hybrid) models and features a 35th Anniversary badge and a Liquid Chrome Chrysler Wing badge with a Gloss Black insert on the front fascia grille and rear liftgate. All special editions also get the luxury treatment with all-black interior features Cranberry Wine accent stitching on McKinley and Nappa leather perforated seats, steering wheel, door trim, bezels on the instrument panel (IP) and door handles. A 35th Anniversary embroidered logo also appears on the front floor mats.

Some trims do have unique features though.

-The Chrysler Pacifica 35th Anniversary Edition Touring L comes with eight-passenger seating, a Mopar overhead DVD entertainment system, and rides on 18-inch wheels, MSRP of $2,015 (plus destination fee).

-The Touring L Plus also comes with eight-passenger seating and a dual-pane sunroof, MSRP of $1,420 (plus destination fee).

-Consumers will drive on 20-inch wheels with the Chrysler Pacifica 35th Anniversary Special Edition Limited trim, MSRP of $695 (plus destination fee).

-On the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid 35th Anniversary Edition Touring L, consumers get a Premium Audio Group with 13 Alpine speakers, Uconnect 4C Nav with 8.4-inch display, and ride on 17-inch wheels, MSRP of $1,390 (plus destination fee).

-The Hybrid Limited gets a small upgrade with 18-inch wheels, MSRP of $695 (plus destination fee).

Hybrid vehicles sure are starting to get more stylish, and the modern tech doesn’t hurt. For personalization, the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica/Hybrid will still be available in 10 exterior colors – Billet Silver Metallic, Brilliant Black, Bright White, Dark Cordovan, Granite Crystal Metallic, Jazz Blue, Luxury White, Maximum Steel, Ocean Blue Metallic, and Velvet Red. Any consumer who gets the 35th Anniversary Special Edition is still free to also add on the S Appearance package for an even sportier, blacked-out, customized exterior.

Dodge Grand Caravan 35th Anniversary Edition

Here’s the one that started it all. Oddly enough, the Grand Caravan hasn’t changed much over the years, but still offers a tremendous value. The 35th Anniversary Edition is available on the Grand Caravan SE and SXT, and both come with 17-inch tech silver aluminum wheels, a 35th Anniversary fender badge, and a bright grille. Inside the cabin, consumers are greeted by a similar treatment to the Chrysler Pacifica: all-black interior features Cranberry Wine accent stitching on the seats and door trim, a Piano Black console and IP accent, and front floor mats with a 35th Anniversary embroidered logo.

Each trim gets a little something extra. The 35th Anniversary Dodge Grand Caravan SE includes Stow ‘N Go second-row bucket seats and a power driver’s seat, MSRP of $2,800 (plus destination fee).

The 35th Anniversary edition of the Dodge Grand Caravan SXT comes with navigation radio and Driver Convenience Group that features heated front seats, heated steering wheel, and second-row window shades, MSRP of $1,595 (plus destination fee).

As always, the 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan is available in six exterior colors: Billet Silver Metallic, Black Onyx, Granite Crystal, IndiGo Blue, Octane Red, and White Knuckle for some personalization.
