Drive the KITT Car for Halloween

Are you all ready for Halloween? This year, we were thinking of doing something fancy and thought we’d share the idea with our readers. There is a good chance no one in the last two generations has heard of or seen the old TV show Knight Rider, but we’ve all seen some pretty sick cars. Nonetheless, until we get AI in vehicles, no car can match KITT, the talking car from the Knight Rider series. To make things official, we’ve found a way to not just dress up like agent Michael Knight, but also deck out a car to give it that look and feel of KITT.

The Car

Let’s get this one out of the way, because it’s pretty cool when you see it in action. We don’t need to specifically get a car like the one in the TV show; all we need to really do is give a car a similar look to KITT. For this, we can take a Dodge Charger or a Dodge Challenger, some LED strips, and zip ties. See where we’re going with this?

Yep, the result is aimed at the effect seen above. A vehicle with a moving LED scanner in the front. If a Dodge Challenger or Charger is not in your possession, there’s always car rentals available. However, other vehicles can be used to achieve the same effect. It just takes some safety precautions and knowledge about the control module of a modern car.

The Look

Now it’s time to get our Hasselhoff on and look like Agent Knight. The look changes here and there, but the classic Agent Knight outfit is made up of the following:

– Leather jacket

– Solid blue dress shirt (buttoned up halfway)

– Beige or khaki pants

– Dress shoes

– Snake skin belt

– Nice hair

Some of those can be switched out for other items. A nice belt with a large buckle can replace the snake skin belt, the pants can be replaced with a dark pair of jeans, and Agent Knight has been seen wearing a dark red collar shirt, a red turtleneck, and black collar shirt with a blue tie. Your choice.

All you need to know is you’ll be lookin’ fly stepping out of your own DIY KITT. Even Hasselhoff is giving the thumbs up!
