“Fast & Furious” fans must be frothing at the mouth at this point. “F9”, the ninth installment of the franchise, will be in theaters nationwide on June 25, 2021. Honestly, I thought the cinema industry was going shut down in 2020, and with so many producers willing to put movies on HBO Max, or premier access for other streaming platforms, do theaters really think they can keep up with their $20-something ticket prices and $50-worth of snacks? I’ll pay $30 to watch with friends and snack at home any day. Regardless, Dodge and “F9” are running a promotional campaign for the new movie. After all, Dodge is the “Brotherhood of Muscle” and has been a part of Universal Pictures’ groundbreaking, blockbuster “Fast & Furious” franchise since day one.

The multi-tier marketing campaign, “Superpower,” will show up on many media channels, including television, social media, and digital media. Some theatres will have in-theater placements. Whether that means posters or a trailer for the movie previewing before a movie that has nothing in common with the feature film has left to be said. As long as they’re not trying to be overly obnoxious, it’s not like “F9” is some summer blockbuster. Nothing tops “Avengers: End Game”.

But I digress. The blockbuster “Fast” franchise has earned more than $5 billion worldwide and features many Dodge//SRT muscle cars. The last film even had a few drivers stealing the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon before it hit the streets – it was an interesting nod to the vehicle in the real world. Joining Dom Toretto’s (Vin Diesel) vintage 1960 classic Dodge Charger, “F9” will also feature the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody. Already available for viewing, the 60-second ad-spot “Superpower” can be viewed on the Dodge brand’s social media channels. It will be joined by a 30-second ad-spot of the same campaign, “Superpower”, but will run on television.

“’Fast & Furious’ heroes don’t wear capes, they drive muscle cars…With Dodge, horsepower is our superpower, and Dodge and the Brotherhood of Muscle have become central characters in the enduring ‘Fast & Furious’ family, racing high-octane joy to generations of performance enthusiasts and cementing America’s muscle car brand as a key component of this iconic film franchise.” – Tim Kuniskis, Dodge Brand Chief Executive Officer – Stellantis

You can check out the 60-second ad spot on YouTube below. Surprisingly, thankfully, they didn’t have Vin Diesel do a voiceover this time. With the ads focused on promoting the film more than the vehicles, this multimedia campaign also contains a music video that was put together by the Dodge brand and Atlantic Records. The new and official music video for the new track “I Won” (featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Jack Harlow & 24kGoldn) – the song will also be featured as a part of the “F9” soundtrack. The music video will be highlighting the 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody and the 2021 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock.

For more Dodge brand action, the 60-second ad-spot “Superpower” video above is showing off the following vehicles: Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody in White Knuckle with Satin Black graphics, Dodge Charger Scat Pack Widebody in Indigo with Satin Black graphics, Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody in TorRed, Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody in Octane Red with Satin Black graphics, Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack Shaker Widebody in Smoke Show with Bumblebee graphics, Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat in DB Black with Redline Black dual stripes, and Dodge Durango R/T Blacktop RWD in Reactor Blue.
